Being the unfortunate pro on divorce :(. What state you live in? In some states if you accumulated the debt while married she is stuck any way. In others if it was pre-existing it depends on how long you were married etc. Give some more details.
 
I owed 52,000 when we got married, that was for a Bachelor and the first Master degree.
I have incurred 36,000 debt since through interest and the second Master degree.
I made 58,000 last year.
 
Why do women throw that word around "divorce" like its some empty threat.....My wife had done it to me numerous times....Funny thing is, she would go nuts without me, i know this for a fact...It would be hard for me also, but im the type of person that takes what comes my way and deals with it......The hardest part would be the whole custody crap with my kids...Ive have seen my kids every day of their lives and i dont think i could handle joint custody.....Hang in there brotha, and i wish you the best....

Her latest move was to get a Roth IRA signed for the kids and she asked me to "Sign" it off as ok. I signed, WTF?
I guess it's, "Hide the money, time!"
I switched to a power lifting routine yesterday. I think I might start running in the morning two times a week.
Those kids will be loaded!
 
if you have any cars, boats, motorcycles, anything you can do without now might be a good time to sell or "give" to a real close friend, and maybe one day he can "give" them back to you :D
 
I had one motorcycle since before we met but I'm rebuilding it.

Technically if you don't have a pre nup yeah she could. But in a divorce you sit down with a lawyer, in your case the two of you will have seperate lawyers and you write down everything you want or how you want it divided. Then if you both agree your divorce goes through. The problem is, every time one of you argue over the other's requests your divorce is prolonged. For some it's years.. Don't want to scare you, but if the two of you are still ok with each other and have respect for each other it doesn't get so ugly.
 
Well, we had sex on Wednesday to have another kid so maybe her reaction was just shock value like someone else said.
Things are good now;)

I agree in your situation as unstable as it sounds, last thing you need is to bring another kid into the mix.:worried:

The last thing you guys need is another child, especially with so much debt hanging in the air.

Sounds selfish on her part without taking into consideration of the kid.

You need to get out of debt, call Dave Ramsey or something, the way you live sounds pretty stressfull.

i WOULD say i have a lawyer for ya but mine is a fuckin retard lol been trying to just get my ex served since july and he refuses to answer the door... my lawyer doesnt seem to know the law either cause i have to keep telling her about shit lol i am starting to realize why people just kill their exs instead of divorcing them lol it is easier in the long run apparently
