Maybe I am missing this hype train or something????

These guys running around the gym with their little mixer cups full of some fruity supplement? The smell of it makes me want to gag while working out.... I carry a liter bottle of water... I do not see the benefit here?? Like i said I am old... so whats the point of drinking a supplement during workout?

If so what the hell are they drinking??
 
Prob some type of "pump fuel" or whatnot. In most cases, their training doesn't even demand or take advantage of the supplement. lol.
 
It's probably some kind of BCAA drink. I'm so old schiol, I don't even bring a water bottle, I drink out of the fountain. That way I get to stand there for a couple minutes while all you bottle carriers fill your gallon jugs from the drinking fountain

my prob with the fountain is that the gallon jug fillers have taken all the cool water... I freeze a half full liter bottle and add water in it. Its so good.

I will sometimes drink bcaa namely extend when I go low cal.

This batch is pink and yes it looks fruity asf but i'm not there to impress lol

I maybe wrong.... I just dont see how someone can drink something so damn fruity during training. Seems like i crave cold water and thought of anything else makes me wanna vomit.

Mines not fruity. Mixes clear.
 
I take my gallon water with my that I had been sipping on all day...usually with crystal light in it. Sometimes i'll add some powdered Gatorade for longer workouts or squat day.
 
Some folks I know (mostly my age) spend a ridiculous amount of money on supplements of that nature. If their funds were invested into groceries such as lean beef, chicken, fish, sweet potatoes and rice the results would speak for themselves. Can't forget the eggs and turkey bacon! Hahaah
 
I drink aminos when I lift but mainly because I lift so Damn early I don't have a meal. I train in a gym where there are a lot of competitors and even some ifbb pros and they all sip aminos haha

In your circumstances you have a good reason to use an amino acid supplement. It makes sense for elite lifters to use them too. I might've ranted a little too hard in my last post. Hahaha. Maybe I'm just sour because I see guys who barely eat whole meals but they take a shit ton of supplements. Perks of lifting in a commercial gym fellas. You see (and hear) a lot of stupidity.
