Enhancing Metabolism

I don't know where to post this so I'll leave it here. I am basically trying to create a thread where we list our ways ( hopefully proven) ways of enhancing our metabolism. I want to get mine as fast as possible, some of you may not want that for various reason but overall I believe athread like this would be useful to have.

I'll start with what I know, please add whatever you guys also have in mind.

1 - Drink plenty of water. Almost all the processes in the body occur in water solutions therefore being wellhydrated not only improves overall health but it increases metabolism and energy levels.
2- eat 6 small meals a day, have all of them contain protein, taper off carbs after lunch. I am not sure if this will increase metabolism, but it will definatly prevent it from slowing down.
3- consuming beverages with stimulants such as coffee and green tea. Caffeine increases metabolism.
4- consuming research chemicals. I am not well informed here , know that ECA stack uses ephedra and caffeine to boost metabolism and aspirin to prevent your veins from bursting. More info on other products would be appreciated.
5- cardio workout. As heart rate increases the metabolism also increases for the duration of the cardio vascular workout.
6- strength training. Metabolism increases during strength training And for reasons unknown to me it stays elevated for another period of time. Again I don't know how long.
7- good nights sleep. 8 hours a day, wellrested body operates more efficiently burning more calories with the increased metabolism.
 
Increase lean muscle mass. Lean muscle is metabolically active 24 hours a day.
 
Well that will work for you and against you. As humans we spend most of your caloric intake on keeping our bodies warm. The reason for this is the fact that we are warm blooded and heat radiates away from our bodies. We also absorb heat from our surroundings however since average temperature that we are subject to is about 25 degree Celsius and average body temperature is about 37 degrees Celsius, the difference in temperature is made up by our own body. This also depends on the skin color if you want to calculate the radiation and absorption individually but if you are looking at the difference then they cancel away. Overall though it is the same manner as starvation mode. If you are really cold all the time, your body goes in to power saving mode, slows down metabolism, you feel tired and dumb because body does not want to spend any energy on getting you going, it is more interested in keeping you alive if the cold intensify's or stays for a long period of time. So they probably work just as well as I am not gonna eat anything diet. Technically if you can keep it up over a really long period of time, you could look like prisoners of war etc.. not much body fat but also not much anything else either. If done in short time, it will cause weight gain imo, as soon as you put on that sweater :)

Getting back to original idea, technically if you are cold, you will burn more calories to keep your body temperature in acceptable levels. If you drink cold water, although the body does not have to make an effort to specifically warm up that water to use it, when water comes in contact with stomach lining etc.. it will rob away heat to come to a temperature equibilirium, which then the body needs to makeup for.
Overall this is the reason why humans need to eat about 3 times a day and snakes can go by eating only once a month. A snake is cold blooded, meaning his body temperature is the same as its surroundings, therefore does not radiate any heat therefore its body never has to use any energy to warm up its organs and body. This does show that how little of what we actually eat goes on activities that we do. Most is on the maintenance.

I also found this chart that shows the relative energy consumption of various systems of the body. It looks like a healthy liver and couple hours in the library per day is the way to a six pack.

Vitamin B helps to energy, do energy drinks because they lead to accidents sugar and fatigue. If you're still hungry, rather than eating 3 meals (This makes you feel full all day and two to lose weight by increasing your metabolism) Try smaller portions and eat four meals a day and allows you a full feeling all day and two to lose weight by increasing your metabolism.
