What are your thoughts on evening carb intake?

My routine:
0530 - milk & casein shake (immediately after waking up)
0600 - work out
0700 - whey & dextrose
0800 - egg whites, whole eggs, either fruit (low GI... strawberries & grapes) OR oatmeal (not instant!) AND rye toast w/natty p-butter
1000 - almonds & cottage cheese
1200 - chicken, red meat or fish w/ leafy salad, oil&vinegar
1500 - hardboiled egg whites OR smoked salmon OR crab meat
1800 - chicken, red meat or fish w/ leafy salad, oil&vinegar
2100 - egg whites, turkey bacon & cheese OR scallops
2230 - casien & natty P-butter w/water

I take fish oil a few times a day as well.

My carb intake is mostly before & after working out. when bulking I'll add brown rice or sweet potato with my lunch meal. Considering that I work out in the morning, would you add in brown rice or some other low GI carb source at dinner as well? I'm trying to lose BF and add lean mass. So far, I've cut pretty nicely over the last 2 months and really don't know if I should add evening carbs to my plan since I don't want to store this energy as BF.

My final carbs are at 7pm dinner right now. I think different peeps will get away with different times.

i have never seen any scientific proof that eating carbs at night makes you store more fat, choose what time you eat it if your body requires 3000 cals a day thats what it uses whether you eat it all in a morning or all in an evening its calories in excess of need that cause fat storage

Damn, I don't eat carbs after lunch unless they sneak in when cutting. Like now... :(

i have never seen any medical evidence that consuming carbohydrates in the evening creates you shop more fat, select what time you eat it if your demands 3000 cals a day thats what it uses whether you eat it all in a day or all in an evening time its calorie consumption in unwanted of need that cause fat storage.....

Eat all your carbs before bed. See what happens.

I just started eating about half of a whole grain tortilla (w/4 egg whites, 2 whole eggs, one piece of turkey bacon a a very little bit of cheese at ~ 2100hrs). It's only about 15g carbs and I rarely eat any carbs now after noon-ish. mostly pre and post work-out, which is early AM for me

I eat plenty carbs at night doesnt make a difference to my fat storage at all,the worst that can happen is you may wake up carrying a bit more water that isnt an issue unless you doing a show,as i said if you need 3000cals a day thats what your body needs choose when you eat it

Glad it works for you.
