I often feel really agitated for a few hours after a workout, to the point where I want to be completely left alone. I am terse and unpredictable. I initially thought it was a case of hypoglycaemia; however, I always follow a strict regimen when it comes to my diet. Directly after intense exercise (about 1/2 hour) I ingest 40g of protein and 80g of dextrose. About 1 hour after that I have a 6oz chicken breast, 3/4 cup of rice and a large potato. I also drink about 1.5 litres of water during that period. This is precisely what I've done today and I am in a incredibly foul mood. I don't even want my kids near me.
Have you experienced this and if so, do you know physiologically why this happens. I feel so toxic, and this can't be productive for results.
