forearms and chins

My forearms give out before anything when Im doing chins shoulder width overhand grip. Any advice on how to hit my lats more? Ive tried wide/narrow grip but it still persists.
 
thats cool as hell, that should def. help a lot. I never even knew they had these! What else is a good thing to have like these straps?
 
got my straps. those things rock! helps with a bunch of other lifts too. really helps ya feel it more in yer back.
 
Also do them with your thumbs over the bar bro... takes your forearm grip out of the movement
 
I do but, it still kills my forearms first. probly just cause of my weight-strength ratio also I suppose. I also weigh roughly 230-220 which doesnt help considering im not that strong.
 
Wrist straps are great - make hitting the back so much easier!

Did you get some from prowriststraps.com? I got a set from there with the padding added - they are the most comfortable straps I've used! I used to buy the $5 straps that local sporting goods stores sell, but the ones from APT (prowriststraps.com) are so much nicer!
 
It is kind of hard to find the actual messages in this thread with you guys having such damn huge signatures! Just thought I would point that out. ;)
 
No I got them from somewhere else. I got the ones with a wide hook. They do help a lot. glad I got em.
