For those who read my other thread about the elevated CK levels etc, I went to the cardioligest the other day. I went back for blood about a week ago to check what was skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle difference in the elevated CK levels. So i got my results back and both are in normal ranges. The cardiologest aslo took one look and my ECG graph and said this shows the result of a normal athletic heart.????

So not only did they stuff my lab results up, but also managed to read my graph wrong and tell me the left side of my hearts slightly inlarged when my blood pressures on the low side if anything??... lol

Dont get me wrong, its a relief and all, just lucky i have good insurance because ive been having appointments non stop!!

There still gonna do a x-ray just to be sure in about a week. So hopefully i can get up and going from there.
 
It's common for athlete's to have a slightly enlarged left ventricle, this is not unhealthy and is different from an enlarged left ventricle due to hbp or disease.

agreed . the heart is a muscle and athletes push their heart harder than salesmen do.
 
I'm always a bit worried when my results are not within normal values and it happened a few times already: cpk years ago and more recently the liver values. It appeared that they were elevated because I was overtraining.
I'm glad everything is back to normal for you also! Keep us posted when you get the results of the X-ray.
 
Good to hear and good you take care of your health, I know having great insurance is a blessing cause I went a couple years with none and it sucked.
 
Good news bro :) Fucking docs need a good kicking sometimes! My Brother was "diagnosed" with Leukemia by a "doc" a few years ago. Sent him home and told him top wait for confirmation on the blood tests. He went home, didnt say a damn word to anyone for 2 weeks waiting for these fucking tests to confirm he was gonna die and they came back negative! Goes back to see the "doc" and he didnt even fucking apologise or anything, just said he made the "diagnosis" from his symptoms. Bro told me that night when he knew he was in the clear.......I wanted to go kick the fuck out of the doc. Imagine living with that for two weeks on the say so of a useless shiny arsed Doc!
So good news for you Dleato, not surprising really cause you look after yourself well....fucking Docs, sheeeyat :(
 
thats some harsh shit!! couldnt imagen what the mind state of your bro would have been like. From now on im going to private practise, these public doctors dont wanna hear anything you have to say. You get what you pay for tho eh.....
