Friggin racist people

First time that I am dealing with this in my life.
I recently started dating a beautiful girl from Vietnam. She is absolutely the sweetest thing that I have ever met and there is nothing that she would not do for me. We have a fantastic realtionship and I am falling in love with her.

I have so many female friends that are pissed off and telling me that she is only after my money, green card, etc.

My dad pulled 3 tours in VN, so I asked his permission to even see this girl and he was all for it. I think they text and talk to each other more than I do with him. He thinks she's great but I don't understand the rest of the hatred.

She is a US Citizen, needs nothing from me except love and respect.

I am struggling to deal with the comments that I hear. I fired an agent that worked for me because she went of on my GF making fun of her English and other things.

I am happy, I am content and looking for advice on dealing with this. I will not leave her over this but geez, if any of the shit that I have heard came out of a mans mouth, he would be eating via a straw and I would be in jail.
 
Brother, I deal with the same shit and hear about many of her experiences when she’s out. Sheldon Brazil and has a very thick accent therefore, people say dumb shit or treat her disrespectfully.
Of course, it never happens when I’m with her, there would be some serious consequences if they dared to utter anything close to racist.
I chalk it up to ignorance and a small brain.
 
Racism like all hatred is rooted in ignorance and/or insecurities.. the same way children make fun of kids with disabilities. Don’t let it draw you in, negativity is contagious.

Sounds like this person makes you happy, stay happy, keep the good vibrations flowing.

Do you my friend. This world has Gone Plain Stupid!! I don’t use the middle finger gesture and stay away from politic. But if I could I would push out that finger to these people.

Sometimes you just have to laugh. My wife left Buenos Aires to live with me. We have been married 25 years, she is a proud US Citizen and still has a distinct accent. Where I live people that were born and raised in America are far and few between so my wife just blends in with the crowd. Haters will be haters. Lots of balls for one of your employees to make shitty comments like that. Wasn't so smart. Anyway, as long as you two are happy with each other, don't pay any attention to the comments. In fact, might be a good time to change the people you hang out with. Bro, years ago, I quit dating women from America because most were kniving gold diggers who did not want to do anything but use men. I found that women from other countries still appreciate acting like a woman and taking care of their man. Hang in there.

BPP what area do you live in bro? IIRC, down south right? Only asking bcoz I live in OH and have never had an issue whatsoever. My wife is Filipina. We've been married 11 years - she's 36 & I'm 61. I lived in Philippines from 2011-2015. Our son was born there in 2012. We all came back to the US in 2015. She speaks excellent English, yet has a slight accent. Never had any race issues at all. That sucks dude and I feel for you bcoz you are a stellar guy man. Don't let any idiots comments affect your relationship with this girl amigo.
 
Find new friends bro. Anybody that doesn’t respect the person you’re with, unless there’s a damn good reason, doesn’t deserve to be your friend and in reality……isn’t really anyways.
 
I'm in Central FLorida, East Coast near Cocoa Beach. I just have never experienced this but I also have never dated anyone other than white girls, one Italian and one crazy redheaded part Irish.

I'm over it, the agent as I said got her ass fired and any of my friends that have had attitudes are gone. I am happy and thats all there is to it.

So many small minded pricks who would say such racist things about spouses who are of color or Asian. Fuck that and certainly I don't tolerate racism in any way shape or form either and I have lots of friends of color/Asian.

Sadly racism at work is just bad.

Being a man of color, racism is something I DONT deal with everyday. But I'm aware of it everyday.
You'll find out who's your family and friends are. Either by their voice or social media.
Im.glad the few boards if been on, there's never been an issue with brothers of the gym tryin to help other brothers of the gym.

My wife again is a legal immigrant and I am white. One day my wife wanted me to take her to China town here and shop. We went into a herbal store and an old Asian man came up screaming at us. WTF....he said "we don't need your business, leave." I actually started laughing when I realized this racist asshole didn't care for white folks too much. No problem, we took our money to the next store. We both get the same attitude going into other ethnic shops here whether they are Middle Eastern, Hispanic or black owned. No matter what race, there are always going to be racist haters. I have always judged people by their qualities.
 
Thank you my brothers. I love this little girl and I am happy. Fukk who ever doesn't like it. I am not racist and everyone is always welcome at my table. She is so sweet that I can not even begin to put words to it.
 
Well. One reason they make comments is because you have a beautiful lady and they are jealous!
I can’t add anything to what has already been said but, people don’t like anything that “appears” to be different. Small minded people think a white mans should be with a white woman, a black man with a black woman, a Latino man with a Latino woman, etc…
Me and Big Tex have had some convos in the past because both of our wives are from South America.
Jealousy and ignorance are two of the biggest factors at play here. They lack maturity whether it be emotional or mental.
My wife is so mentally strong that she’ll try to challenge others on their mentality and I’m not even around. And of course when I am around, they don’t say a word!
Things are difficult even for those that are here legally. My wife thinks if she gets pulled over and gets a traffic citation that she will get deported. Times are tense and the best thing to do is walk away and avoid conflict. If possible
 
I am pleased that Trump is getting rid of those here illegally but I also worry about her getting grabbed up in all of this. I copied her passport and have her keep it on her cell phone, just in case.

Yes ALWAYS keep your documents handy in case you ever get stopped by ICE as you won't have time to go get them, especially for those who are here legally on a visa or green card. These are rough times we are in.

The Real-ID Act became effective this year. In Texas, if you have a license that has been renewed since 2016 you already have a Real-ID and it does show whether or not you are a US Citizen. As I understand it, all U.S. states have issued Real ID compliant licenses. Look for a gold or black star in the top right corner of your driver’s license or ID card. Other than that, if you are here on VISA or Green Card it has always been a law that you keep that on you at all times. You are subject to arrest if you don't have it on you which could result in jail time, fines or deportation. My wife is a naturalized American citizen and she has absolutely no fears of being stopped by ICE and very happy to see all of these criminals that have taken over our city run out. The Gulf Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) have literally taken over Houston. This Real ID is a federal law which was brought about because 19 states and the District of Columbia have enacted laws to allow illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses. These states—California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.

She has been a citizen for 10 yrs but I don't want her to even get caught up in it, or her kids.
I learned the hard way 25 some odd years ago when I was in Germany, I forgot my passport and got caught up in the drama, it never happened again.

I have another absolutley stunning S. American girl that is afraid to go and rub in the mornings as she has done forever. She was born in the US but because she is 'brown' she is scared to death. I don't care for that but to be honest, anyone here illegally needs to go become legal. My family all immigrated here, legally from Hungary and Whales. Do it right or leave. I love everyone so please dont let let upset anyone.

People suck. Just focus on who you want to be and what you have going for you and screw the rest. If what they're saying has no merit, then cut those people off from your life. You don't need to explain anything to people with an empty head. The older I get the more I keep to myself and do my own thing. It's peaceful.
