Black if u have a bad case of fleas then u should use a flea shampoo first and let ur dog dry off completely then add the frontline in between the shoulder blades. This is what i have to do with my dogs if they are out in the sand playing all day and after a while the fleas are everywhere.

i agree

I use ADVANTAGE and never use flea shampoo as it is harsh on the dog's skin. With ADVANTAGE the fleas start to die in about 24 hours and are nearly all gone in a couple of days. Within a week, they are all dead, even the ones that hatched out in the carpet and jumped back on the dog. I have used ADVANTAGE on rescued cats and dogs so covered with fleas, I had to confine them outside for 24 hours before letting them inside. In every case, fleas were nearly all gone by day 2. ;)

where do u get that

I get ADVANTAGE from my vet. I use it instead of FRONTLINE because FRONTLINE kills ticks as well and I want the least toxic chemical I can use to kill fleas.

Pour gasoline on that fucker
Oh yeah sure, that would work. Thing is your dog would be highly combustable for a few hours. Then you would have to keep him away from sparks and flames such as those which occur while hittin the bong or lightin the BBQ. One fuckup and you're headline news.

you never know hes from BAMA he might actually listen to my advise

FRONTLINE is reputed to be stronger than ADVANTAGE, so fleas should all be gone in no more than 2-3 days.

When a serious thread like this is started let's not give shitty advice. You never know who might take you seriously. :D

lol...finally some of the fleas are gone... the poor baby was so infested... my yard this year is sooooo overrun by fleas..the alabama weather has been perfect for them... i have some wooded areas also... i finally get to bathe him tonight...

Black, read the FRONTLINE instructions carefully. I would not bathe a dog for about 2 weeks following treatment.

Correct u dont want to bathe ur dog after a treatment so as the oil will spread the medication over the body, However u can bath before treatment and dry complete then add frontline

dam bitch at vet said wait 48 hours 2 bathe... she is told me wrong twice lol... she didnt have teeth i should of known.. i didnt buy a box...they sold me 1 treatment... no directions

If you have a heavy flea infestation, it will not only take longer to kill all the fleas, but you will need to give another dose in 2-3 weeks as eggs will be hatching out of your carpet, yard etc, and as the newborn fleas jump back on your dog, they need to be killed before they can breed and start a new cycle. ;)

COOL MAN! thanks... as far as fleas in the house they are not to bad... i have hardwood and tile throughout my house

but i am confused.... its a bad idea to put gas on my dog and set it on fire???... thats seems like the best method

See this is exactly what John Benz is talking about: Most of us would think it would be obvious/common sense that it would be a bad idea to saturate the dog in gasoline and set him ablaze to control the flea problem. There's probably hillbillies fuckin up everywhere with their hounds sizzlin and smolderin. This is some serious shit!

Fuckin' white people.

Fuckin white people indeed! This isn't even an issue with black folk. A brother knows damn good and well you don't set no dog on fire till after he's lost a fight and shot him several times. Though I'm sure they have heated debates with drum beats thumpin and they scream and yell 2 inches from each other's face over which comes first -" the bullets or the flames?"
