Nice workout bro, congrats on the new PR's! we'll see if we can get that vid up;)

Nice looking workout here. Very good numbers too. If I could get my dead numbers up like that i'd be a happy fella. lol. Looks like you are increasing the number of sets you are doing in a days time

I'm kinda confused - you're doing deadlifts with 375 x 1, but you are rack deadlifting 300 x 2? Seems kinda backwards... but congratz on the new PR!!!

right on bro, I can't do rack deads with as much weight because I get no leg drive at all

rack deads are odd for me too....its harder for me as I am only 5'8" and where the bar for me isn't the same for the taller people. LOL. Its just "funky"

I need to see vids of you guys doing rack deads :) seriously, the length from a dead lift off the floor compared to the lenght from rack deads makes it way easier to get more weight up. One of the reasons you do them is to use more weight. I could probably get 500+ or rack deads as apposed to my 420+ off the floor. Probably like a 100lb difference..

well I am not the only one they are others on MMI that says the same thing, they can lift less on rack deads

lets see the vid ;)

I do mine from the floor..deads arent my favorite exercise though, my lower back kills me doing that. I do prefer it the old fashion way though

I guess that makes sense with the leg drive issue if you do the racks from pretty high up... I do mine from a bit below knee height, so I seem to be able to get a decent leg drive...
I was doing 500 x 5 for my racks when they were a staple in the rotation; and currently my best for floor deads is 345 x 5... I just figured everyone would be the same way because of the smaller distance to travel, but apparently not :D

ok here is today.......

standing calf raises
135 x 20
185 x 15
225 x 12

lying leg curl
50 x 12
70 x 11

box squat
135 x 12
185 x 10
225 x 5
255 x 4
280 x 3
305 x 1

straight bar cable curl
75 x 12
95 x 10
105 x 8

hammer curls
35 x 12 x 2

what can you do in rack deads vs reg deads

The only rack deads I have done thus far is a 20repper variety....I honestly don't know my max or 3-5 rep max for rack deads.

315 x 6
350 x 2
380 x 1

I think you should stick to regular deads bro-trap bar deads are more of a squat variation. Better growth bro..I'm tellin ya ;) Good job on the inclines..

how can u say this? have you ever done them?

Let me tell you why I feel this way, I get zero soreness........in my legs...ZERO

my back, upper, & lower, traps, and forearms get fried after a heavy trapbar session.

With trap bar deads, you grap the bar on your sides instead of in front of you, it is not even close to a squat, at least not to me at all. Squats get my legs pretty sore, but trapbar deads get my WHOLE back sore.
