Gatorade

I have this problem that when I drink water, it tends to dehydrate me more. My doc says its because of an electolyte imbalnce. So He has me drink a bottle of half water/half gatorade.instead of plain water.

Any way I was wondering how drinking gatorade would affect my diet since its basicaly sugar.
 
Well for your pwo shake/meal you could have about 40 g protein and 80 g of gatorade powder. Gatorade is really high in dextrose so after workouts it's perfect. You actually want sugars post-workout so don't worry you won't get fat, it's just feeding your muscles.
 
Just add the gatorade into your carb calories for the day. Since it's not super calorie dense especially diluted you should be fine.

yup i love gatorade.....i drink it post workout and a little throughout the day....
