Graduating from college and thinking the military, Any officers here?

I am graduating here in a week with a bachlor in finance which is a pretty damn good degree in my opinion. I just have alot of student loans and no idea what I am going to do with it you know. I still have summer school and my buddy found his job on monster.com. But that was when they would advertise all the time you know. I have a job in the mortgage buisness but that has went to shit lately.

Bro, lol You don't need to go into the service to get a job. My neighbors one son got a good job in Maryland working for a major bank with a finance degree and a major in economics. Id take a more proactive approach in job hunting, and maybe branching out into other states. Do some networking.

hey man , y are u so worried bout student loans. Most of those loans are low interest ones, and some of it are interest free. plus you have a grace period after you graduate till you find a job. 65 k is not much. thats prolly an average student debt.. you ll make it back in no time.. just live the first few years a little miserly, get a good paying job.. and you are good to go.. If you are going to military just for that.. dont..

Joining the military to get rid of student loans is not very smart, considering you could easily make up the monetary difference in the private sector. Once you get a job, just learn to stick to a budget and you can pay those off within 4 years pretty easily if you really try.

You can always join the PeaceCorps, they forgive loans based on service. Not sure about the details, you would have to check.

If you want to get some experience towards your degree in military that is one thing, but to worry about loans and use military that is another, and imo not too smart. I know it is hard right now, but i think you can find good job if you apply yourself and really hit the streets hard. Networking, headhunters, recuriters, friends, willingness to relocate in another state, these are all things you can do to find that ideal or close to ideal career. Right now i know 65k is alot for you, but try to think about your career first and try to put the loans on the backburner for now. Dont feel strapped to do something for the wrong reasons.
