... oh... for a sec I thought you meant Greek, like from Greece which I am. But since I'm not I'll leave it to the "greeks" to reply.

I'm not but I really like Greek's got the similar religion as me :) Orthodox Christian.

i am... or was. i never bought into the "greek for life" bit. i've rushed and pledged several different houses. it's good if you have the $, and you're in the right house. you won't like everyone, though, nobody ever likes everyone in an organization.

I am /was Like Tolvo it wasn't for me though. It was like high school but my college's frats/sororities weren't like what you seen on college or at larger universitys.
What info you want?

Genius! From my fellow blondie here...XO

Just curious to see who was part of greek life :)

My brother is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon at WSU in Kansas, and I'll be joining that house here at UT Arlington.

Actually I do have a question. Have you found it difficult to maintain your fitness minded lifestyle being in a fraternity?

no, actually, not at all. you need to realize that there is a balance to life. whether you wanna be a top echelon bodybuilder or a football player, you need to put in your time, keep your nutrition in line and rest. but don't forget about the rest of life. its good to go out and do shit with these people. its what helps me keep my sanity while blasting. i've actually progressed more in the time that ive been in a fraternity then i did before. and in every aspect of my life. INCLUDING BODYBUILDING. im making some gains that are coming ass over heals for me and loving it. and as it stands, we are pledging someone right now who wants to be an mma fighter. me and him both hit Golds together and its great for both of us. ill push him and hell push me.

the best advice i can give you, is dont just go to a fraternity becuase your family member is in it. check them ALL out at the campus and then pick whats best for you. chapters vary greatly between campuses. my fraternity is one of the few that i havent found a chapter that i dont like yet.

I actually did. I mean, there were a lot of guys into lifting and sports and such but you know diet is key and I was the only one that cared about nutrition in the least.

Plus, drinking was pretty big. I don't know about you but I know I can't go to a party and not drink.

I actually feel like I pretty much wasted my first semester here. I still hit the gym but pretty much didn't have any progress until I left the fraternity.

Honestly, I really like this chapter. I know a lot of guys in different frats, and all they do is talk shit about each other. I haven't heard one negative word about another fraternity with this group. I'm not going greek to start a rivalry with someone, I'm doing it to better myself and those around me.

dont get me wrong, we drink. but it doenst effect me. my tolerance is RIDICULOUSLY high, so i never really get drunk or hungover. so it doesnt hinder me at all.

good reasons, thats why you should be joining a fraternity. but remember something, what comes off as talking shit to you, may be considered healthy rivalry between fraternity. when football season starts, you better believe im leaving everyone behind.

Aah, right on....I'm in a wheelchair, so that leaves me out of most, lol. We have a wheelchair basketball team that I'm on full scholarship for, so that keeps me busy. We actually might be coming out to Vegas for a tourney.

Not at all man, everyone has been really cool. Our team is the most successful team on campus, so we get a lot of visibility, and the guys have been pushing me to rush ever since I met them this summer when my brother came to visit.

Besides, I'm bigger than all of them, so I'll whoop their asses if I need to :buff: :D

thats great man.

i just cant wait for intramurals to start.

I had a bit of trouble keeping my training in gear. Yeah I had an very high tolerance back then (still kinda do) but when you go out drinking 5 nights a week and some nights start at 5pm - you don't get proper nutrition, and you sleep late. But it really depends on the individual, I drank, others smoked, others hit the gym hard. Believe it or not but peer pressure can play arole at this age. Tyler as antihero said go with the liquor and keep in mind what you want to achieve and you will be onpoint.... And you have us to bust your ass when you start to slip.
