 Damn I thought I had a decent amount. I gotta ask though, why have 3-4 of the same rifle?

I have been debating something, for bear/deer should I go with a 308 or 30-06? I have heard that the 308 is much more accurate.

For Bear you want a rifle with plenty of knock down power. A 300 mag or 7MM would be a good fit. 300 would be my first choice... I have personally killed an 8 point weighing 215lbs at 310 yards with a 7 MM mag. but I couldn't say it would have with a 400 + lb. bear.....

How did you manage to get a concealed carry permit in Cali? I thought those were hard to get? What is your job?

My kids CRUCI. All the weapons are in my name since I have to buy them, but 1 30-06 is my 12 year olds, another is my 15 year old, and the 3rd 1 is mine. Remember, I got 6 kids, LOL

It depends if you are going to hunt on the ground or in a tree. I love the 30-06, it is one of my favorite weapons, but hell, my kids 243 will drop a deer in its tracks. He dropped an 8 point last weekend. I like ZEKES choice of a 7mm, my next gun. Definite stopping power. I would say either a 30-06 or a 308 would drop a bear.

Unfortunately, I cannot purchase, own or register a firearm until Jan 2012, so the only guns I got are in my avatar and they are fully loaded...LOL
