Guys texting in the gym...WTF!!!!

I think the point is this: If you're capable of pulling out you phone to text with your girlfriends in between sets then chances are pretty good your not putting the effort required into the workout.

So true. Mental preparing/self visualization is a lost art for many. I guarantee if a guy focuses BEFORE he does his set, he's gonna get a couple more reps vs just finish talking on the phone and jumping right in - dumbasses. :wackit:
 
Do you do quads & hams seperate? How about calves? I've always hit them all in the same workout. Unless someone is training extreme HIT, DC or the like, I'd like to see them accomplish all that in 45 mins. :eek: If they can, they are 1)severely limiting the weights they COULD be using had they rested longer on the bust-ass worksets of squats or leg presses, or 2) half assing it on leg day. Hell, I spend 30-35 minutes at the squat rack alone. Much also depends on the weights you're using. A guy maxing 300 on squats doesn't need to spend near as much time with as many warmups/feel-sets as a guy maxing 600. ;)

Leg day is: Leg press, warm up 100k 20 reps followed by 3X sets (depending how I feel on the day between 400k to 430k)....followed by hamstring curls full stack (no idea what the full weight is as not marked on machine), followed by leg extensions (again full stack but with 15k Dbel wedged in machine), followed by standing calf raises @ 200k.
If the gym isn't busy this is done in 45 to 1 hour......vomiting afterwards is not included in this timeframe lol.
My training routine is posted on many forums, my legs are in terms of strength my best body part but never seem to get the same kinda deffinition as I do the rest of my body and yes I know squats would be better but as I train on my own and normally in a morning when the gym is empty I do not feel it's safe to squat a good weight without help....it's easyer to take all the plates in the gym and use the leg press.

I hate on dudes doin it too, however I must admit when I'm working on a new chick if she hits me up at the gym I text back. However I think we all bend our rules when it comes to vagina
 
I have to carry my phone at the gym so my kids, that are home alone can reach me. I listen to Pandora on it and I have a bluetooth headphones so I just leave it on my bag and can answer calls without even getting it out. I figure kids are on there damn phones 24/7, why would the gym be any different so I just ignore it.

I use my phone rarely. I hit ignore a lot. People kinda know when not to call or text me. If they can't wait an hour or so, they better be dying.

I cant stand these guys.....Yesterday i was bustin my ass at the gym and these 4 guys would do 1 half ass set then sit down for 15 min and text and talk on the phone and they kept doin it for like 2 hours....That shit pisses me off....

its not like the old days, oh I miss them so
 
i always leave my phone in the truck, but in the coming months its gonna be with me all the time just in case the wifey goes in to labor
 
What kills me is when I see personal trainers texting or talking on the phone while they'll supposed to be training their clients. I watched one guy talking on his cellphone while his client (a hottie, of course) was doing a set of hanging leg raises completely wrong. I tried to help correct her but she simply said, "Thanks but I have a personal trainer." I replied, "No problem, it's your future back injury."
