I have been hearing that some major gym closings have been happening all over the USA due to the poor economic conditions,. Here in Houston, our gym is closing in June due to the increasing price of their lease. Like everything else here, prices just keep going up and up and LA Fitness has made the decision to close the doors of one of its largest gyms. We have been members there for 15 years. Oh well, on to 24 Hour Fitness.

I hope they come out with a vaccine soon to protect us from inflation. I can't wait. This entire system is designed to enslave us. I hate the entire planet today.

I'm old and the government pays my gym membership. I like anytime fitness because it is less crowded. At least in my small town. Before it was too expensive for the amount if equipment they have. But now I love it.

It sucks when a gym closes as it reduces choices unless you are lucky to set up your own home gym.

It's hit or miss if a gym is going to make it for the past 30 years approx 90% of gyms fail in the first five years. No doubt covid didn't help, however the gym that I workout at has had a huge surge in gym memberships. It's well maintained but is the only 24 hour gym in town.

With such high obesity rates you’d think gyms would flourish.

Or maybe 70% of the US population is overweight because they don’t go to the gym…Hence the closures.

I see Dunkin Donuts and fast food chains are doing really well though.
