Gym Etiquette!

The other night I was on the cable machine where they have the pull up bars in between the two cable attachments. I hope I describe this correctly because I can't think of the proper name, but almost every gym has one or two. Anyway, I was performing one armed reverse flys to work my posterior delts. Well I get done one side and then rotate to do another side and some dude jumps right in and starts doing pull ups, so I had to wait till he was done to finish my set because on the full contraction part of the exercise I would be punching him in the balls. I politely waited since he so politely interrupted my set and then after he was done I grabbed his attention and told him he needs to brush up on his gym etiquette and watch the F**k out lol! My gym is also the worst for putting weights back. Drives me nuts. Rant over lol.

I prefer to train at home but there are some things I just don't have the equipment or the area to do safely. So two gym memberships now and my dog pile in the back yard.
I think I'm going to start paying someone to put my weights away after I train in the gyms. that's as much of a work out as actually doing the lifting!

^^^LOL very true!

Maybe if you'd have just kept it up and let your hand hit him in the balls on every rep it would help him.

I know the exact setup you are talking about, and IMO if he was rude or not depends on exactly WHEN he jumped in. I mean, if he did it while you was actually doing a set, fuck that for sure. But if he did it while you was resting briefly or actually hadn't begun your set yet, I can't fault him. Reason being is that setup is for cable use and chins/pullups. If a guy is working unilaterally as you were, the guy could be there a long ass time. I myself have been guilty of jumping in to do a set of pullups while someone was working unilaterally on the cables - however I would let them know "Yo man I'm gonna jump in between your set." :)

^^^It was during a set. I am not an equipment hog what so ever. Everyone's gym membership is worth the same to me. If you pay the money then you deserve to use the equipment, but it was durimg a set. I don't think he realized what I was doing, but then again he certainly didn't take the time to observe either. Just jumped right on in.

Some people are just oblivious in life...just in general. Just not real smart nor aware of what's going on around them.

The real question is, are you bigger than him? Bigger man always wins, just give them the look. LOL I'm kidding...being the bigger guy physically also means being the bigger guy mentally. Set the stage for the young pups, help them out, kill them with kindness...I find that works best. If it doesn't then just kill them. ;)

I grab the closest guy I know and have him help me mock the perp's vagina until he leaves.
