I love the look. If you get it heat tape the pipes. That would set it off.

Not my style, but thats what's nice about Harley's everyone has there own style

Beautiful!!! I like the Rocker C. But then again, I like any Harley!

Although that Harley looks cool and has its own bit of character ,Im certain you would be unhappy with its size and performance.
From your Avitar you look as if your a Big Fella. I have been riding Harleys since I was old enough to touch the ground with my feet .
I know for sure you would be displeased with that small of a bike,
My recommendation for you would be a HD Roadking. Those bikes are a blank canvas in which you can build customize and do anything you wish with and they are bad ass looking once completed. The ride quality of a Roadking is second to none and they handle just like a softail .
Also , you can make your Roadking to have the same Appearance as the sporty you have pictured with some elbow grease and wrench time .
Take it in consideration my friend as a Sporty's suspension will beat you to death.
Also,if your not a fan of saddlebags then look into a " Softail Deluxe" those are bad ass looking and have the ride of a Heritage , another very quality ride as well.

I concur with the trashy one! You will be very unhappy with that little bike

This is what I tell everyone looking to get a Harley. The conversation usually goes yeah, but I haven't ridden in a long time and I just think I need the smaller bike to get used to riding again.
This is what will happen; you will get the 883 then start riding with usBig Boys and you will feel embarrassed to be on your little scooter while us Big Boys are riding their Road Kings, Ultra's, Fat Boys etc.
Then you will go to trade it in after about 6 months and the dealer will tell you no thanks on the trade because they have a show room full of new bikes and you will be screwed on the trade in.
Get a bigger bike at thet beginning and like BT said customize it to your liking.
Then just when you get it perfect you will trade it and get a new one. Just saying.

thanks for the info bro....good advice! yes im usually 255lbs in the early spring and late fall (235lbs in the summer time) and 6' even! this is the look I want right here....if I can customize a 1200 to look like that then ill go that route. I don't wanna buy a new bike and I wanna build as much of it as I can with my buddy who has skills customizing bikes and cars. truth is ....ive never road before and thought an 883 would be good to start with?!?!? idk

That's a nice looking Sporty. I'll have to concur on the size brother. If you get up to 250 at 6'0 I wouldn't jump on a Sporty. I guess it always boils down to money and if that's the issue, then get what you can and start riding.

If it isn't then there are some really nice looking black themed bikes on the Softail line up. I would look there for sure. You said you didn't want new.... check out Dream Machines of Texas. They have a good selection of used ones that might already be halfway where you want it to be and not have to drop as much coin in getting it there.

here was a sharp Night Train on youtube.

Stay away from the 1200's also . Its not enough engine to haul your big ass around on .
Not sure where you live but I build bikes all winter long and unveil them in the spring...Its a lot more affordable to buy a good used canvas and build what you want ..
Since you've never owned a Harley before ,heres what you need to do .
Stay with a Twin Cam Engine , 88" or larger ,,,,,no 883 or 1200 ....they don't have the torque or top end to haul your meathead around and as I said prior the suspensions on Sportys will beat you up worse than your buddies will for seeing u riding a shortster....
Whatever you choose my friend ,,,,Keep it rubber side down and be safe ...

That would be a much better bike than a 883 or 1200.
Now your going in the right direction , that bike will have the performance you will want as well as a much better ride quality than a sporty.
Id still look into a "softail Deluxe" .Im getting an idea of what your looking for . Possibly look into a "NightTrain" they are always blacked out like the bikes you have pictured .

Agreed... a 1200 or 883 is still the sportster platform... same size and same ergonomics just bigger displacement motor... but to each his own..
Deff. A nice look on any harley.

this was the one I liked as far as a night train

NightTrains are a softail set up chassis frame....Excellent bike . Very quick , softail comfort and sharp sharp. Go with that scoot ..
The thing I like about the softail set up is the shocks are parrellel under the frame so you dont see them .
Like a Dyna ,or fatbob or wideglides the shocks run vertical and I dont care for that look unless its on bager because the bags hide the shocks.

This will be a hard decision....i kinda like the fat bob better personally. Im actually headed to the harley dealership in a few min because i wanna see these different bikes up close and personal......not ready to buy brand new though...wanna shop around on.CL and ebay....see what type of deals i can get

Whatever you decide ,whichever route you take....enjoy the ride brother,,,Its a whole new feeling of free you have never felt before....And once you see the first sunrise and first sunset riding off either direction you will be hooked....The sound of the air cooled V twin engine is unmistakable .
And that's a very wise descion to not buy "new" ...A new Harley off the showroom floor depreciates in price considerably the minute you sign the papers.....

I wish I could offer some advice, but I don't know s*** about bikes. I will say its pretty cool how u guys are stepping up with advice and helping with the decision!

Been there done that... DON'T WAIST THE TIME ON A CHICK BIKE.

You will regret looking like a monkey fucking a football on a sportster.

Trust me. No regrets buying the big toy.
