Hearing for Stephan Bonner

The Nevada State Athletic Commission had their hearing today for Stephan Bonnar in response to his positive steroid test from the August 26th fight against Forrest Griffin where Bonnar tested positive for boldenone metabolite. The NSAC gave Bonnar a 9 month suspension from fighting and also fined $5,000 for the positive test. In addition, Bonnar?s camp confirmed today that his contract with Spike TV has been terminated. Bonnar was going to be used as an in ring interviewer and commentate for live TV specials with that contract in addition to fighting. Bonnar responded to the allegations by apologizing for taking the steroid and blamed it on a nagging injury that would not go away and could not pull out of the Griffin fight because it was the biggest fight of his career. He took the steroid twice a day starting 25 days before the fight and stopped using it 10 days prior to the fight. The drug is not often used by athletes because it can remain in your system for months. The suspension is 9-months from the date of the fight, so he will be suspended until May 26th 2007. During the same conference call, Pawel Nastula and Vitor Belfort were given temporary suspensions with hearings for each of them to follow in the coming weeks.

Vitor don't care if he gets suspended. He fights in Pride in Japan, usually(they don't test) though they held there last fight in Vegas where he tested dirty. Boner is an idiot.

Bonnar should been reading some threads on PM before screwing with gear.
