WOOOOHHHHOOOOOO!!!!!
Well, Joseph was given a date they expect to fly out of Iraq a month or so ago but he messaged me a little while ago and it's set. They are leaving either on the 23rd or the 24th and should land in New York on the 26th or the 27th. That's 3 weeks; 21 days....I'm ECSTATIC.
He also found out that he'll have 6 whole days for Thanksgiving so we'll have his first weekend back home and only a few weekend visits before being able to spend an entire week together here for Thanksgiving with my NH family.
I know it doesn't really mean much to you guys but I can't really express how excited I am to have him back home. And I know his mother will probably sleep much more peacefully once he's home since his brother is finally out of there as well. I can't imagine how hard it's been on her, I can't even comprehend. I just know that I'm beyond ready to have him back on US soil and "safe".
Anyway, since many of you are like family to me, I just thought I'd share.
Please continue to keep them all in your thoughts and/or prayers. Oliver is supposed to be headed over there before too long and I believe Jeremy was also scheduled to deploy this fall as well. It's far from over but, atleast for the next year, Joseph will be home safe. And, I doubt I'll be around much on weekends, lol. (Not like any of you are greatly crushed by that, lol) Thanks for letting me share, I'm excited.
