It's been a while, 3 years to be exact. Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I've had a quite a lot going on, and haven't really had the time to put in here like I used to. I've been running my business, my house caught fire, and I sustained some training injuries, which really set me back. I tore my obliques on my right side and my top abdominal muscle on my right side. During the healing process, they completely atrophied. Almost indented, really weird. The worst pain I have ever dealt with. I really don't know how else to explain it. I also have an arthritic ac joint in my right shoulder, which is very painful benching heavy, so I'm trying to come up with some new training techniques, because I just can't take the heavy weight anymore. Actually my body and joints can't, my mind can.

I have always lifted heavy. Anytime I ever lifted it was heavy weight, reps 6-10. That's all I've ever known. Now I've been reading some study on moderate weight with higher reps producing very similar gains, but don't know the exact details of it. Were the people all newbie lifters? If so, then of course they are going to gain.

I guess what I'm asking is if anyone on here trains with moderate weight with higher reps. Higher reps meaning 10-15, and how it has worked for them. I know everyones body is different, this isn't my first rodeo, but I can handle the moderate weight with no pain, so it seems the only choice I really have. After throwing a fit in my gym, throwing some stuff, I kinda brought myself back to reality, which is I just can't lift the way I always have anymore. Really a very sobering moment. It sucks, but it is what it is. Lmk if any of you guys on here train not going heavy all the time.

Welcome back bro.

And yes I train that way about half the time and sometimes always on certain exercises.
