hit new person max on chest

yayyy its not that impressive of a weight but my chest has always been my weakest muscle by far anyways i hit a new person max for it.... i very rarely do max's but every once in a blue moon i will just for fun and im going on vacation this week to cuba so ill have a week to recop from my heavy lifts lol i did 275 for 2 and then the spotter helped me on my third like i said its not an impressive number at all but it is by far my weakest muscle group so im happy with it :)
 
Good stuff man. my chest is probably my weakest muscle alsi so i know how you feel
 
I'm strong in the chest EXCEPT for bench press.. I know how you feel on a different level I guess. Well done!
 
Congrats bro. The amount of weight is not important - be it 275 or 875. Whats important is that its a new best for YOU. :igok:
 
Congrats buddy the numbers will come don't push yourself to much to fast, you'll get there faster at this pace then you would with a injury..

yeh thanks i wasnt even going to list the weight cuz its not that high and it was more about being a personal best but i figured people would have asked anyways how much i was doing
 
It is always exciting when you do more than you ever have before.
 
Seems like I read somewhere, that only 2% of the world can bench more than their own body weight.
275 is a milestone, just like 225. Congrats dood!
 
if y got 275 for 2 with a 3rd forced rep the big 300 is just around the corner! keep it up, progess is all that matters. great job

a pr is a pr , doesnt matter if its 275 or 500 . congrats.
 
Good work bro keep it up! It is a great feeling. I would bet 99% of the people in the gym could not do 275 it is a big accomplishment.

own that number bro...!you went for it and you got it.i finally hit 275x10 last week with another 3-4 still in the tank.i was so friggin psyched.a little too psyched cause when i hit smith machine inclines i warmed up with 185x20,then hit 200x7.figured i'm gtg.throw on 225x7 then mr. macho says f-it,put on 250.should get it for 5-6 no problem.only waited 90seconds and hit it.got 2 whole reps.pissed me off.now i'm goin for 315 for higher reps.keep at it and before you know it you'll be warming up with other peoples maxes,lol...!

btw,let us know how Cuba is.still on my bucket list to visit.one of the most beautiful places with the friendliest people...
 
Good to hear. I don't care what the person looks like or lifts in the gym, but if you have good form that's what I respect. Not saying 275 is light, numbers don't matter as long as the form is there which I know is :)

that's what i respect too.too often i see these guys come in,do 2-3sets of what they can barely get 5 good reps out of then pile on so much weight that they need a lift off and halfway down one leg goes this way,one arm goes the other way,ass is totally off the bench,one side's higher than the other...meanwhile the dude who's spotting is getting a trap workout to pull it off his boys chest.then when they finally rerack it they go nuts like they just hit 455 instead of 225.no form,no growth...i'd rather be stuck at a certain weight for a little longer than give up my form.less chance of injuries too.
