I used to be really into home electronics when I was back in high school - way before I could afford anything ... and in the past few years I have been working on building myself a decent system ... and very recently I ended up with some spare cash and put together what I think is a decent setup, I just thought I would share in case anyone else is into electronics. Please feel free to comment and post pics of your setup!

Here is what I have currently (please ignore my waterbottle, I meant to move it...):
tv.jpg

Toshiba 57H94 57" widescreen CRT HDTV
Harman Kardon AVR 635 receiver
Samsung DVD HD841 DVD/SACD player
Magnavox MRV660 DVD Recorder (came free with the TV)
Panasonic VCR (dunno the number, was like $20)
Pioneer CT-W801R cassette tape deck
Sony CDP-CX355 300 disc CD changer - broken, don't buy one!
Audio Technica AT-PC50 turntable
Xbox
Infinity 5.1 satellite speaker system (don't remember model)

Here is a pic of the receiver, cd changer, and sub - they are on a table next to the left tower: www.ptaaron.com/hometheater/receiverandcd.jpg

Here is the left tower with the door open: www.ptaaron.com/hometheater/tower.jpg

And finally a close up of the new receiver (a little dusty already even though it is only 3 days old): www.ptaaron.com/hometheater/sexyreceiver.jpg

I was amazed at the difference in sound with this new receiver compared to my 2 year old Pioneer 711 model... I can't really place what is different about it, it just sounds 50 times better for some reason...
Anyway - I am just excited about my new toys and wanted to share - hopefully we have some other home audio nuts out there to post their stuff too...

sweet lookin setup. I dont have the dough to buy all that and even if I did, id buy somethin for my truck or some supps. I bought a 45 dolar surround sound setup from wal mart. it sounds killer considering the price!

MUS BE NICE!!!

Thanks skullsmasher. I watch a ton of movies, so for me it is a worthwhile investment - and I managed to get some killer deals on stuff so it hasn't been THAT expensive.
Walmart surround sound systems get the job done! Thats all that really matters.

hahaha, I am married with a kid, I can't afford any of that. Nice looking set up though bro

Thanks G4E.
I guess that is one of the benefits of being divorced - no one to tell me what to do with my money anymore ;) Of course that is also kind of a problem, because I tend to spend waaaaaay to much of it! LOL!
