how many here shave their heads?

I have been wanting to go bald for a long time, just never got up the nerve to do it, I went in today and had the girl take it down "almost bald" I normally cut it with a number one gaurd, this time, no gaurd, so I can see the shape of my head etc......

one thing I don't like is I have a birthmark on the back of my head and I think I might look dumb If I go bald. I can see it pretty good right now and just not sure how I feel about it
 
no one cares about the mark. if they do...screw em. you can look into getting it bleach too.
 
go over it again with the shaver... looks like you got a couple hairs left..
 
I think it looks fine, you can barely tell you have a birth mark. I have the same kind/color on the top of my right foot.
 
lol, it took me a little while to even notice a mark. it just looks like slight pigment change. BIC the whole thing! A. you will get used to it and like it very much or B. it will grow back quickly.

ok here is a better shot, can u see the birthmark better?

will it get darker if I tan? and someone said you can bleach them? what does that entail? I never heard of anything like that

although, I shave my face, and thats on my head.
 
First, the birth mark is BARELY visible, I wouldn't have noticed it had you not mentioned it. I have a BROWN birth mark on the small of my back, you're lucky.

Second, I doubt tanning will make it darker. Like I said, my birth mark is brown and it's never changed color due to tanning.

Third, shave it. If you don't like it, it's just hair and it'll grow back to what you have it at now in a few weeks maybe a month. Katie's right though, some dudes pull the whole shaved head look off REALLY well. I prefer a high and tight on a guy but I'm pretty partial to the whole military look. Go for it, what the hell will it hurt?

And again, I seriously wouldn't have any clue you have a birth mark if you'd just not said anything. And, come on, who cares?! It adds character ;)
 
I shave my dome and love it! Don't have to buy gel or shampoo but be sure to throw some lotion on the dome afterwards oh and sun screen on the freshly shaved dome while out in the sun is a very very very good idea. Heck if you are wearing a hat with a freshly shaved dome and don't want a ring of burn on your head or a half moon shape put some sun tan lotion on!

I don't even see it! your lucky! I have a birth mark on the back right side of my head, and its a lot darker in color than yours, I hate mine!
