How much protein

I have a few questions:
1. I read that your body can only use so much protein (like if you weigh 200lbs take in 200g of protein), but how much do you think your body handle while on a cycle of just test?

2. How many grams of protein should come from food and how much from shakes and portein bars? I know it's best to eat you protein but I've been drinking 100g a day from shakes (one after my workout and one before bed)and only eating 100g should I up the amount that I'm eating?
 
I go by lbm not by my actual weight. It depends on what your stats are and are you male or female?
 
you mean trans, lol? Never thought about it Nig haha! I guess it would be on whether the person wants to look like a girl or look butch.
 
i'm a guy do you think drinking protein shakes for half of my protein intake is alright it seems to be working as of right now
 
I aim for 1.5 -2 gms per lb and don't try to figure the lean mass. On a test cycle, you could go to 400 gms protein as long as you drink enough water. Try to get most of your protein from whole food as it is more anabolic regardless of BV. The only time a shake is essential is post-workout and some of the biggest strongest guys I know never once took a PWO shake. ;)
 
I don't keep count anymore, I just eat lots of steak, tilapia, chicken, and salmon and maybe a shake or 2 a day.
 
ya, you dont want to have more than two shakes a day bro, chew your food and get the nutrients you need....plus you give your jaw a workout...lol....I know the shakes are conveniant(sp) as fuck, but try to cut the shakes back and pre-cook some fish, steak, and chicken for best/optimal results.

I only do 2 shakes a day. If you are wanting to build more, id up the protein. If your goal is maintain then what you are already doing is good, but id still add more whole foods into it. Its not that hard. I use the grill alot, lol
 
but don't go over 50-60 grams at one time. It will all be excreted out as waste.
I see guys pounding 100g at one sittng and then claiming it towards their daily allowance.
And I bet their "dump" weighs 70g's easy
 
Your body absorbs almost all the protein you put into it when given enough time to do so. Your body has no problem digesting 100 grams at one sitting.....but don't expect to be able to absorb it in 30 minutes either.

I cycle my nutrients, so it varies for me. But, on high protein days, I keep it up at 2grams per pound of bodyweight. Using LBM is more accurate, but I have found it doesn't make much of a difference as long as you are not a fat-ass. I stay between 8-12% year around (even when my stomach is distended to hell from Dbol/test, etc), and anywhere between a lean 230-lbs and a heavy 270-lbs.
