how much protien per meal

ive heard a lot of different things about protien intake in one sitting,just wondering what is the max amount of protien can your body process in one meal,i usually take in about 40-50grams in one meal,and usually eat about 4-5 meals is that too much at one time?
 
Really since most of protein utilization takes place in the intestine, there really isn't any reasonable high amount, but I think most guys ingest b/t 50-80 grams per meal.
 
thanks.its just that i always hear people saying if you take in more than 50grams at a time that you just shit it out,because your body cant process.

Your protein digestion, will depend on your genetics, diet and training experience. My understanding is that a person who is just starting a high protein diet won't be able to digest very much protein. After a few weeks, the side effects will get much better with the same high protein diet.

This is because their body has adapted, by increasing stomach enzymes to break it down easier. Everytime you increase your calories and protein intake, your body will adapt a little more. In other words, just like training, your body will adapt it's digestion to what you eat.

Just as lifts stated 50 to 80 grams per meal seems too be used often. If you are worried about it just make sure to break up the protein into less amounts into more meals.
