does anybody have a surefire way to get a good pump ?? I find I get encouraged to really go heavier and get even more Intense and try to get as best form as I can as I,m getting pumped. thanks....ive tried set after set light , heavy , supps ect..I used to get major pumps every wo.

Carbs & h20 - with enough of each, and assuming you're busting ass with enough reps, you should be gtg. If not, you might be overtraining. You don't need supps for a killa pump, however some NO products may help.

L-Arginine seems to work for some for getting a good pump, me personally, lift heavy.

Honestly it's about carbs and water as much as anything. Once in a while I eat a big plate full of mashed potatoes an hour before arm training. It splits my skin it's so intense.

I get pumped at the gym but even going heavy does give me the aching pumping. I find when I super set, do more reps, I'll get that good pump. For me what I like doing right say- say I'm lifting chest. Pyramid up with out maxing out on reps except when I get to my heaviest one- rep max. Then pyramid down and max out on all sets. This gives me the pump. Not necessarily the really heavy- but the high reps

I get hit and miss but I cant put my finger on it ....like for instance on bench/ back day 4-6 sets of heavy bench(incline ), 4-5 sets flat heavy bench superset bbl rows ovrhnd then dmbl fly's 3-4 sets , dmbl rows 50-80 lb 4x11 4-5 sets then pulldowns pyramiding all....that day I might get a great pump then I try to replicate it the next wo and no go ! whatsup with that.......maybe I should changeup more often ? if I can figure it out i'll add more reps /intensity or eat more carbs whatever will for sure go.

well try to take berberine and about 150 carbs(steel cut oats)/bcaa's about 1.5 hrs b4 wo and about 4 grms of arginine for no and vasodilation then hit heavy bench/back wo and maybe deads added in for added flavor then intensely bring to boil ....results later(all compound lifts)

I will eat a good clean meal before I hit the gym and from there it is just mental focus and drive. I will get it in my head that I am gonna do the weight then I go over and grab the weights and I look in the mirror and say "f**k it", when I do that it flips a switch in me and I go for it. It is kind of a mental pump...like its go time!!!

I don't really drink preworkout drinks or take supps or anything, I just flip that switch and do it.

I did recently ordered some supps just to see what they will do since it has been years since I used any, kind of an experiment to find out the difference when using them as opposed to how I normally feel in the gym. I will start them week after next.

Thanks
TMM

Here's my 2 cents when I'd over train lack of pump...when depleted of carbs lack of pump.....when training to many major muscle groups same workout lack of pump...ex: Chest and back same workout....hope this gives you an idea

when i train a bodypart i use 2-3 heavy compound moves followed by a lighter cable exercise for high (20-30) reps to flush at the end of my WO this gives me a hell of a pump

good thoughts , I maybe doin to many compound major groups at once and not enough carbs .thanks

All good info fellas!
Try : supps - 2-3 tsp beta vulgaris, 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar, 6-9g citrulline malate, 500-1000mg agmatine. Start drinking about 45mins before workouts. Continue threw workout.

workout - 2 warm-up sets -40 reps each. Med weight.

First work set - add 20% to weigh - drop reps to 30.
Second work set - add 30% to weigh - 15 reps.
Third work set - 85% of max lift - to failure. Followed by no rest - 55% of current weight - 50 reps.
Rest for 3 minutes
Last set - 50 reps

Key is keeping the target muscle under constant tension..... and 90 seconds between sets. Stretching between sets.

If you don't get a pump..... something is seriously wrong.

Cardio before you lift bro. Doesn't have to be a lot but needs to be more than just holding your dick in your hand. HR 140-150 for about 15-20 min for me and I'm g2g. Should def be sweating... Increases blood circulation, heat will cause veins to come to surface, your body will be primed for optimal output, all kinds of crazy good shit. I also stay in higher rep ranges 15-30 for multiple sets before I go heavy or do event training
