Damn i can only imagine losing my bulldog............he is the most loving dog ever

Sorry bro.. My back yard is a pet cemetary. The last few I've lost I couldnt bury myself.. Just too hard.. I helped my dad bury his dog.. I had been really upset with him just days before, but when he asked me to help him, there was no way I would turn him down. One of the saddest things in the world, a man burying his dog. I don't care what anyone says, it just is. My thoughts are with you.

Sorry to hear reps. Every time one of my dogs or cats dies, its like losing a family member. With dogs, you are always sure where you stand. With people....not so much. :(

i am so sorry to hear this :( the loss of a pet is just so hard.. hang in there hun

I'm so sorry for your loss, reps. I lost my 17 years old cat last November, he had been with me for 9 years after I had adopted him on a crime scene. He was a member of the family and I still can't go back to the house where he died (from a stroke). I know that words won't console you, time will but you will still remember him. Take care.

Sorry to hear big guy. I know it probably won't help, but I got a story for you.

My sis, who is 7 years older than me was in a car accident when she was 19. Been a paraplegic ever since...34 years now. Anyways, right after she got out of the hospital, she bought a German Shepherd. Gorgeous dog. She raised him as a puppy. His name was Rocky. Her and that dog was SOOOOOOO close. Think about it...you think you're close to a dog now...imagine how MUCH closer you would be if you are in a wheelchair and you're with that dog always. He was her best friend.

Fast forward 4 years. Rockys grown, and a monster. Biggest Shepherd I ever seen...he weighed 155. Great dog. Anyone ever even LOOKED at my sis the wrong way, he was ready to rip 'em up. Well, she had a party...it was summer time...July and hot. She had a house way out in the country...alot of land and privacy there...great partys we had there. We was all outside around the bondfire having a good ol time. I think we ended up crashing around like 4am or 5am. Wasnt that many people there...only close freinds...perhaps maybe 8-10 people this time. Sooo, come next day, me, my gf and my sis and a few others all wake up around 1PM. She calls out for Rocky, as she just put dog food in his bowl. He doesnt come. Keeps calling him...nada. So me and my friends go outside to look for him...calling and calling...Rockys nowhere to be found. Sooo, we just figure he took off chasing a rabbit or something like he has done a million times before and will be back.

Well, after a couple hours, one of my friends is ready to roll, so he heads on. Next thing we all know, he is screaming outside. WTF? I run outside, and in his car, is Rocky..dead. Suffocated from the heat. Claw marks and teeth marks all over the inside of the doors and windows of the car. Apparently, the night before, someone went to my friends car to grab a beer or smokes and Rocky jumped in the car and they didnt know it when they closed the door shut. When it initally happened, my sis and me was ready to KILL a mofo! But after time and our senses kicked in, we realized it was nobodys fault per se, as we were ALL drunk as a mofo. And that was an unfortunate, easy accident to happen to anyone. Everybody there loved my sis and Rocky too. It was an accident, HOWEVER, that didnt help matters any. He was gone. And my sis LOST IT. It killed her inside. OMG it killed ME, so I cant even imagine how hard it hit HER. It took her a longggggggggg time to come around after that.

Again, I know this don't help you bro, but I guess my point IS, it indeed could have been much worse. I am sorry and hope you can get over it in time my man.

damn sorry to hear it...I dont know what to say other than God bless you and his family

Thanks guys and gals. He had been sick for a while now and was gonna go back to the vets on monday. Long story short he was having seizures and what happened was I went to the gym and when i came home my wife was screaming by the pool. apparently he fell in during a seizure and couldnt get out.I had to get him from the bottom of the pool and carry his dead body out. this dog would jump in the pool all the time and swim out so it wasnt the pool part but these seizures would make him tighten right up and loose control of his body. i still havent gone out by the pool yet and dont think i will. Thanks guys and gals for the kind words.
