I'm a pretty conservative guy for the most part and I just need everyone's thoughts on this scenario.

I inherited friends when I met my wife. This husband wife combo live insanely beyond their means. And I've actually come to hate doing things with them but I put on a smiley face because they are my wife's oldest friends and the wife was in out wedding.

So here's the deal they were scheduled to have a bday party for their youngest on Sunday but on Wednesday they had an insane outbreak of lice. And keep in mind their house is usually a hit shit mess. So after some serious convincing my wife convinced them it was a horrible idea to still have that party till the outbreak is completely cleared. My wife's friend tells her she understands if we didn't come. No shit Sherlock no way were my kids gonna get infected with lice especially since my youngest is only 15 months old and doctors don't recommend using that pesticide used on lice hair of kids under 3.

What do the white trash pieces of shit do...still have the party so the kid can get gifts. Instead of doing the right thing. I'm fucking livid even though my kids didn't go. Who does stuff like that?? My wife is amazed and shocked but she defends them by saying that they both grew up dirt floor poor yada yada yada. Still no excuse for risking everyone with lice.

Am I wrong?

no! Not all. Its really hard for me not to judge people. I've been working really hard on it. So I try the best I can to think the best but I never put my kids at risk. You did right!

Nope you're not wrong. My kids would stay far away

And at that I would for sure cancel my own party if that happened as well

With kids in school lice will happen eventually. It's just a fact of life. But to have them continually and have no concern for the welfare of others is just ignorant. I would keep my kids out of that house until they clean up their act. Unless you want little shaved head kids for the next 10 years, until the kids themselves figure out this isn't cool.

Hey ....whaaaa...wait Buff ....whats wrong with shaved head ? lol. I been sporting that dew for many of years......
anyhow , I agree with you ozzy completly about keeping a distance from the issue at hand , its better to avoid it than try and smile and deal with it and then panic later .

Jeeze man, I try really hard not to judge too but that's just ridiculous. You were absolutely right!! They could've at least gotten the lice thing cleared up before even having a party. Or at least do a couple of treatments to themselves and the kids and then have the party at the park or something. That's so irresponsible!!!

You did right. And your wife doesn't get to pick your friends just because you are married to her. And don't let her guilt you into believing that she does.

Having lice all the time is not cool, not having the chrome dome look.

Yea man. Thats messed up to still have the party when they have an out break. Its really kind of fucked up that they would put other kids in danger of getting lice too. I try not to judge but lets be real thats not some easy fix getting lice. So yes you have a right to be mad but DONT FIGHT WITH YOUR WIFE about it. Just simply say that your kids cant go there till the outbreak is cleaned up. FOR SURE cleaned up.

Thanks guys I knew I was right on this. And to top it off the husband of the combo called my wife yesterday to get in for a hair cut....I told her she better not.

You are right for not taking your children. You are right in that those so-called friends are wrong for throwing the part. You are wrong if you are arguing with your wife over their stupid party you didn't attend. Fight another battle, you already won that one.

Oh come on they're just some small buggers that drink blood, cause insane amounts of itching and can be very infectious that's all :p :D

Seriously I wouldn't risk my kids exposure to lice. I remember my cousins had them when they visited me(or I visited them)when I was a kid and going through that pain in the ass of using anti lice shampoo and shit to kill them was just awful so yes you made the right call.

Maybe they were gonna have everyone sit around like monkeys and pick them off each others heads. haha
