Went to physio this morning and he gave me the ok to do cardio using the bike or elliptical- YAY!!! I don't imagine I can do enough yet to make it a "real" cardio workout, but it's a start. He also started me doing wall squats- only to 45 degrees, but to me that's the greatest thing ever!! I can do leg extensions too with very little weight, so I am gonna hit the gym tomorrow!!!:dance2:

In the meantime, however, the shoulder is still a big problem. He did acupuncture again this morning and we are gonna see how it is in 2 days. If it's no better, I'll be getting another injection. There's nothing else to do.

Congrats, IG. Keep thinking positive. A small step forward is still a step forward.

Thanks guys :) I won't push it, believe me :) I don't want any setbacks. I've had enough of those in the past 3 years.

I'm being positive, most of the time. Sometimes it's easy to get a little down. And this weather is NOT helping!!

I'll keep ya posted on how I do.

good to hear IG. I tried to do cardio today and got my ass whooped by a machine so be careful in the cardio room:)

Thanks guys :)

Matt I'm so excited to be going back, you could knock me up the side of the head with a DB and I wouldn't complain..lol..

Sorry, but I gotta say, that it was a little funny. What's the chances that something like that would happen?? Cardio is usually such a safe activity ;) I'm just joking!!

An update on how this morning went....first I rode the bike. I was really suprised at how well it went. No pain or stiffness. I only put it on level 3 as opposed to 6, but I could keep the rpm's high. I was thrilled!! I only did 10 min because I want to see how my knee feels for the rest of the day. I did a set of my wall squats, and a set of leg extensions with just 20 lbs..lol..that was great too.

As for the shoulder....I tried various exercises using the massive 10 lb DB's!!!! I have to start light and slow. I can't afford another setback. This is when I wish I had someone with me to keep an eye out to make sure I do this right I did db curls, db presses, hammer curls, wide lat pulls, seated row, pressdowns, and flat bench press. The only thing that bothered my shoulder was the flat presses. I did about 12 reps- and maybe halfway through it didn't hurt at all. I just may "work out" whatever the hell is wrong with my shoulder.

The acupuncture yesterday definitely helped. my shoulder has not pained since. Still a TINY bit of catching but greatly improved!!!! Let's hope it keeps up.

My knee has been great since I left the gym. I am happy today!! Finally, things are starting to look up!

Good to hear! Take it easy and you'll be back to like new before you know.
