# Iron Theme Development Update

## What We Accomplished Today

### Theme Infrastructure

* Iron theme is now a standalone child of MyBB Master Style.
* Previous theme remains available as a fallback option.

### Avatar Improvements

* Rounded profile avatars on Member Profile pages.
* Rounded avatars on the Portal.
* Improved visual consistency across the forum.

### Mobile Improvements

* Disabled Advanced Side Box for mobile devices.
* Improved mobile usability and reduced layout issues.

### Header Improvements

* Investigated and resolved header responsiveness issues.
* Added responsive logo image handling.
* Successfully restored the original 1920x246 header banner while maintaining compatibility across desktop, laptop, and mobile devices.

### Theme Stability

* Iron theme is now stable enough to be deployed as the forum's default theme.
* Legacy theme remains available as a backup.

## What We Learned Today

* The header banner itself was not the primary issue.
* The logo image lacked responsive scaling.
* Responsive image handling resolved the laptop and mobile clipping problems.
* The remaining mobile overflow issue appears to be caused by category banner advertisements rather than the theme layout itself.

## Development Goals for Tomorrow

* Make category banner advertisements responsive on mobile devices.
* Evaluate:

* Responsive banner scaling
* Mobile-specific banner sizes
* Hiding large banners on smaller screens if necessary

### Mobile Post Controls

* Review Quote, Reply, Edit, Delete, and Restore button placement.
* Investigate moving post controls from the upper-right corner to the lower-right corner of posts on mobile devices.

* Review Theme Picker and Board Statistics area.
* Continue spacing, alignment, and visual consistency improvements.

### Header Planning

* Continue evaluating long-term use of available header space.
* No immediate changes planned until additional testing is completed.

The Iron theme has moved beyond major structural fixes and is now entering the polish and refinement phase.

  • User CP avatar is still displaying as a square image.
  • Will be corrected during the next development session.

Mobile Overflow Source Identified​

  • Mobile overflow appears to be caused by 728x90 category banner advertisements.
  • Theme layout itself appears to be functioning correctly.
