Worked last night, so did my cardio this morning at the gym. I never got there til an hour after getting off, did 60 minutes on the stepper, so I'm not even bothering to go to bed cause I would only get 2 hours sleep. Not worth it. I'll laze around during the day and maybe catch a nap here and there. Will train tonight.

Trained biceps, forearms and legs last night. Now this is after being up for 28 hours with no sleep..lol..so I went a little easy. Don't ask me why I didn't sleep...I actually wasn't tired- gone beyond I guess.

Alternate DB curls....25 x 12/7/5

One arm reverse cable curls....30 x 11
My elbow has been doing pretty well, but after I did these....fawk my elbow was killing me and I've had pain in my forearm ever since. I really need to take care of that

Leg extensions....4 sets of 20 @ 40 lbs....I do these nice and slow with a little hold at the top...I hate them more than anything, ,but it's certainly helped my legs

Lying ham curls....4 sets 20 @ 45 lbs

Leg Press....3 sets of 30 @ 90 lbs
I was just too far gone at this point to slap on any more weigh than that

And of course I did cardio this morning x 60 minutes
 
60 minutes of cardio this am....40 on stepper, 20 on bike. I feel like a million bucks today!! And I'm beginning t see veins in my shoulders running down my biceps and also at the top of my abs- YAY!!! I'm so excited :D

I will train later this evening. This will be the last training session before the show- holy crap!

And here's a pic with some clothes on for a change! I like my back, I have to admit :o I'd feel soo much better if I could get up there with something like that on..lol..

Well today is a cardio day- lower intensity than usual, thank god, cause this morning I had to fight my way thru it. And I gotta go again this evening. But the good thing is that I get to eat more carbs today- yay!! Also have to drink 8 lites of sodium free water (which I also did yesterday)...yuck. I start my diuretic this afternoon too. I also have to pose and practice a lot...I need someone to kick me in the ass to do it.

Anyhoo, tomorrow I'm off to the city. The weigh in is at 6 pm.

Just to let anyone reading this know, that there are only 2 of us females competing....lame I know. Remember that I come from a VERY small place compared to most of you guys. The other girl is the one that beat me in my first show, and I anticipate she'll do the same. It was very close between us...the made us go thru our mandatories twice and had a difficult time deciding. That made me feel good to know considering I'm natural and she's not. The purpose of me doing this show is just to qualify for a national event that I want to go to. So, I'll win my weight class..LMAO..cause we are in different ones. I'm heavy, she's middle.

Ok, enough outta me. I'll let you know how it goes. And post pics when I get back.
 
Well, the first comp is over, now to continue on to the next one. So cardio as usual this am- 60 minutes. Will train later today and have to work tonight. I must say I'm pretty tired after the weekend.
 
Trained this evening. Had a great workout, felt strong. Looked better than I did at the show which is always they way!!

Flat BB bench....110 x 7/5/3
I need to work on my bench desperately when this is over. I incorporate my triceps way too much.

Shoulder press (smith)....50 x 5/4/2
Very bad.....

Reverse grip bench (smith)....70 x 9/6/5

Reverse grip pulldowns....105 x 11/8/5
Too light

Shrugs (was gonna do rack deads but couldn't get the equipment and was pressed for time) so did these for something different....30 x 12, 35 x 12, 40 x 8
 
Cardio day yesterday...60 min am, 45 min pm. Got rid of a lot of the water I put on since the show..lol..
 
Worked last night....cardio x 60 minutes when I got off. Will train later today. Going to bed now :)
 
60min..dam! And I thought 40min was a lot lol

LMAO...somoeone hasn't been reading my journal ;)...I've been doing 60 minuntes in the a.m. since July 16th. That's only indicative of how much fat I gotta lose :( so consider yourself lucky
 
Trained biceps, forearms and legs yesterday evening. I did a ton of lunges and squat for the first time sonce I started my prep in May.....did them on the Smith- really light weight and very wide stance. To say I am sore today is a fucking understatement :D

Did cardio x 2 today. Had to cut the evening session short by 5 minutes...blood sugar crash....again. A staff member had to get me a candy asap...lol...

My left knee is bothering me now.....what a pain in the ass

Spoke to the head judge of my show today.....not lean enough in the legs, which I knew. He also knew that I wasn't planning on doing that show all along. Other than that he told me my upper body looks good, I have a good overall shape, my posing and stage presentation was good. I just need to smile more :D
 
60 minutes of cardio on the stepper this morning.

I am NOT in a good mood. I am very tired and sore. I am at my sister's house for the past 2 nights looking after my nephews while they are away on a little trip. It's just not the same staying somewhere besides your own place. I got all her housework done, etc, and now I got to go home tonight and do all my own. Plus train, etc, etc....

I am wondering what the fuck am I doing all this for???? I'll never even win one of our little local shows competing naturally.....I post in this journal everyday but it seems so insignificant at times.....I mean, you guys here compete in shows that would put ours to shame. I wouldn't even entertain the idea of competing if I lived where most of you guys do....I'd be laughed off the stage. My legs will probably NEVER be lean and hard....too fat for too long...I probably needed a full body lift instead of just a tummy tuck. AND I have no boobs..lmao..

Am I feeling sorry for myself?? LMAO I think so.......I got 3 weeks left and I feel fat. I got to come up with routine....I decided on my music. I still have to get my new suit......blah, blah, blah...

I just needed to vent. So g4e and Jes, cheer me up will ya?? I need some love..lol..
 
feeling fat?? what, are you crazy girl? the pics you posted last week, I thought you looked DAMN good I would love to be at your conditioning, your legs are better than mine by far. Quit feeling sorry for yourself, and get the business done. This is NO time to feel sorry for yourself. You have work to do now get busy!!!!

I'll do it g4e....no worries. I'm just tired and having a down day. I've had a lot of those this time around. Last year I wasn't like that at all. Thanks babe. 3 weeks can bring about some amazing changes- I know that, I just get a little freaked out :D
 
So I ate 1/4 of a piece of banana bread this afternoon....FUCK THAT....as if I didn't feel bad enough today....I hate feeling weak. Extra ab work and posing this evening for that.

Not very big...lol...but to me it was HUGE!!!!!! On a good note, I was strong as fuck in the gym tonight, so now I feel good :) And I could see some new striations in myy shoulders, the obliques are more noticeable. AND I'm back in my own house, thank god!!!!

Didn't do any cardio this morning. I have been doing it 7 days a week, when I am only supposed to be doing 6, and I needed a break BAD. SO I will do it when I get off work tonight.
 
Did cardio after work last night...walked outside x 60 minutes. Did the same thing this morning before work and will do it again when I get off tonight. Tomorrow is a training day thank god- bi's, forearms, legs.

Non training day diet....

Meal 1- 1 1/2 cups egg whites, 1/3 cup oatmeal, 1 tsp flax oil, 2 fish oil caps

Meal 2- 50 gram protein shake, 2 fish oil caps

Meal 3- 1 1/2 chicken breasts, 1/2 cup brown rice, spinach salad

Meal 4- 50 gram protein shake, 1 tsp flax oil, 2 fish oil caps

Meal 5- 1 1/2 chcicken breasts, 1/2 cup brown rice, spinach salad

Meal 6- 1 1/2 cups egg whites, 1 tsp flax oil, 2 fish oil caps

Right now on 2nd day of 10 day run of Clen....120 mcg/day in 2 doses, multi, glucosamine, calcium, vit C

weight 155.0.....3 weeks out as of yesterday.....can't fucking wait

Alt DB curls.....25 x 11/6/5

Hammers.....20 x 12

Leg extensions alternated with lying ham curls....4 sets 20 extensions @ 40 lbs/4 sets 20 curls @ 45 lbs

Stationary lunges.....4 sets 20

Standing calf raises.....120 x 10, 60 x 10

Not a very demanding workout, but after three 12 hour shifts and being tired as hell, that's all I could manage

Did 60 minuntes cardio this morning....same as yesterday

Training day diet

Meal 1- 1 1/2 cups egg whites, 1/3 cup oatmeal, 2 fish oil caps, 1 tsp flax oil

Meal 2- 50 gram protein shake, 2 fish oil caps

Meal 3- 1 can tuna, spinach salad, 1/2 cup brown rice

Meal 4- I only have this on the days that I work....50 gram protein shake (sometimes I'll have cottage cheese)

1 hour pre workout- 1 can tuna, salad (the carbs were cut here as of yesterday)

During training...20 grams BCAA's in water

Immediately Post workout....1 scoop whey protein in water

Meal 5- 20-30 min later....1 1/2 chicken breasts, 1 med potato

Meal 6- 1 chicken breast, 1 tsp flax oil, 2 fish oil caps

I must say that I was very pleased with how I looked yesterday....noticeably leaner especially the shoulders and arms, and my abs are starting to look awesome- the obliques are insane :D

Did cardio this evening...only got 25 minutes done and my blood sugar bottomed out...AGAIN!!!! What a horrible feeling. I had to sit for 10 minutes before I felt well enough to leave and I kept sweating profusely. I was barely able to stay awake as I drove home. Really scary. Anyone have any ideas on ways to prevent this?
 
wow sorry to hear that, hope you are doing ok now. I get like that when I am on low carbs but it only happens every great while. It does suck and it is scary
 
Thanks g4e...I'm good :) My trainer suggested that I have some BCAA's during cardio to sip on and hopefully prevent it from happening. So I'll try that starting in the morning.

Cardio this am....40 on elliptical (wanted to give my knee a little break) and 20 on stepper.

Trained before I went to work....

Flat DB bench....40 x 7/6/4

DB shoulder press....30 x 6/4/3
Haven't done these in FOREVER...I love them

Reverse grip bench (on Smith)....70 x 6/5/4

Did these for a change...been a long time

That's it. I felt great and I must say I am looking pretty good :) A lot of defintion happening now. I love it!!
 
I worked last night and did my cardio about an hour after I got off. That sucks I gotta say. 40 min on stepper, 20 min on bike. Slept then from 10:30-4:30- that's really good for me.

Cardio again before work...45 min on stepper. Sipped on BCAA's and felt good- no blood sugar crash. I am working again tonight and will walk outside in the am for cardio cause our gym is closed FOR 4 DAYS!!!! For fuk sakes.
