Suprisingly enough the water was really warm. It was the waves and being surrounded by large men that sucked.
 
tahts some cool stuff. must train a lifetime for that stuff...

Katie, those look so awesome. Even though I know it was tough and you were having your issues you still look like you were having a kick ass time.

Great job Kitkat:headbange you rock, it's been a while since my last marathon, but I would suggest some vasaline to prevent those blisters, it's a tip I picked up from the "Eco-Challenge" show that was on Discovery a while back.
Sweat or any water will turn them soft socks into sandpaper, after my first marathon I had nasty blisters, for my second marathon I used vasaline between my toes an heels, other than being sore an pissed that the protestors took away the protection detail for the run, at least my feet were fine.
