LAST CHILD SUPPORT CHECK!!

Today be my baby girl 18th birthday.

I be so glad that dis be my last child support payment!

Month after month, year after year, all dose payments!

So I call my baby girl, LaKeesha, to come to my house,

And when she get here, I say, "Baby girl,

I want you to take dis check over to yo momma house

And tell her dis be the last check she ever be getting from me,

And I want you to come back and tell me the 'spression on yo mama face."

So, my baby girl take the check over to her momma.

I be anxious to hear what she say, and bout the 'spression on her face.

Baby girl walk through the door, I say,

"Now what yo momma say 'bout that?"

She say to tell you that "you ain't my daddy" ..

And watch the 'spression on yo face"!!!

The first of September my son turned 18, so no more child support checks for me either, except I had custody of the kid since he was five, so I was receiving support not paying:(

well hats off to ya man... although you wont get a check i bet it was still worth it

The entire child support thing boggles my mind, why people complain about supporting their own kids is beyond me. When my husband and I were considering splitting 8-9 years ago he agreed to $4500 a month in support plus 1/2 of everything we had. No lawyers, no courts, no fighting or anything. A round trip ticket to the Dominican is all we had to pay for and some minor fees.

Yeah he's a good kid, and very keen with computers and other high tech gadgets.

I admire and respect men that do that Lifts, to many bail out on their kids. Although now-a-days, the trends seems to be women walking away and even killing their own infants.

Agreed. More women abuse kids than men do according to stats. A man who was abused as a child isn't anymore likely to abuse a child than a totally non abused woman. A good book that goes into depth about this is "Aggression and it's causes" by John W. Renfrew Prof. of Psychology.

seems like a pride thing... knowing your ex is getting your money...unfortunately some people abuse the child support money and buy things other than stuff for the child and stuff for themselves...

Congrads Black! Lift was your ex a psycho? They hardly ever give custody to the father, that must have been some marriage, lol.

MsWetback, in your honest opinion after considering a divorce, does it ever get back to normal again or better? And in your opinion what made it work? Just in case if I'm in that position 10 years down the road with someone.

It got back to better than normal, definitely is WAY better, no comparison.

What made it work...........communication and listening. Then realizing selfLESSness is the #1 issue, people are more about taking than giving. My husband was a "classic" male and as with most males the needs of a woman are typically overlooked. Men are not taught from an early age how to succeed in a marriage and relationship. We think different and have different needs. And yes, we like sex JUST as much as you, but for us the turn ons to get us there are completely different.

Always have been in church, that doesn't mean you don't have problems in life. And counseling imo works only when you have TWO counselors. A male for the husband and a female for the wife. The trick is to get two that work together and talk. Then once a month we would have a four-way session. It works better because the male counselor understand what the guy is going through and the sexuality of being a man and the female understand the emotions behind being a woman and her needs. When you all get together you also have your "team" member with you. With one counselor they typically take a side, it is inevitable.

She had some issues, but she didn't hold a grudge and would take the boy for infrequent visits and give him money and buy him clothes and other things. Actually her and I still get along pretty well.

if the children are still in school.. it may not be your last check gentlemen.

Yeah I heard that, my son just turned 18 and he's a senior in high school, I heard that I can collect until he graduates, but in my case I'm not going to bother. His mother doesn't have a high paying job, so it's not worth the hassle to me.
