Here is what I have to say:
1. Eddie kept them in the playoffs. If it wasn't for Belfour, Toronto would have lost to Ottawa in the first round. Eddie was the star of the Leafs!!!!
2. Joe Nieuwendyk was a key player that wasn't at 100%. It's too bad he missed those games due to back spasms. He's a clutch player and he showed that in game 7 vs Ottawa. Eventhough he did miss some games, he was another key Leaf.
3. Roberts = AN ANIMAL!!! This guy is what Canadian hockey is all about. Works his balls off, hits like a truck, scores goals, and plays with class. Gary is a true playoff performer and add a lot to Toronto.
4. Mats Sundin - He played well, but that is expected from your captian.
5. Tie Domi - The hardest worker on the ice EVERY SHIFT!!! Tie brought his "A" game and was one of the top 5 Leafs in the playoffs. He isn't the most talented on the ice, but he makes up for it with his hard work ethic and determination.
6. Mogilny - Very disappointing in the playoffs. Alex is a great player, but it seems as though he chokes in the post season. I was not impressed with his performance at all.
7. Nik Antropov - PAT QUINN, YOU ARE A FUCKIN' IDIOT!!! Quinn gives this guy more ice time than 90% of the team and he is brutal. Slow, Lazy, Stone Hands, and takes dumb penalties!!! It baffels me how this guy can get more ice time than a player like Tie Domi. I could go on forever why Antropov is shit, I hate the guy!!!
8. Wade Belak - It was smart for Quinn to put him in the line up against Philly. The Flyers are a big, strong team and Wade brings some size into the line up. It's too bad Pat Quinn didn't give him some more ice time. he brought more to the game than Antropov!!!
9. McCabe - He had a few serious give aways, but he is still a great player. This wasn't his series, but next year will be a totally different story.
10. Aki Berg - This guy does too much watching while he is on the ice. Berg tends to watch the puck too much rather than picking up his man in the defensive zone. This caused the leafs a couple goals
11. Tomas Kaberle - Plays like a girl. He's weak in front of the net and had a very disappointing season. Top defenceman last year, number 4 this year. If you want a championship team, you can't have a top player playing like shit all year.
12. Leetch - Great pickup for the Leafs. He had a good post season.
13. Pat Quinn - Bad coaching, IMO. I would like to see the Leafs bring in a new coach next season. It's due time that Toronto wins a cup and I don't think Quinn is the man who can bring it to TO!

all things true. i grit my teeth every time antropov is allowed to play, the guy is truly useless. and to be honest i really don't think he cares. he never shows any hussle at all.
i'm with you about quinn as well, time for a change. i like the guy, he does a pretty good job but enough is enough with him. how long has he been here like 8 years? time for a change.... of course i'm not saying they had a bad season, but i don't think quinn is as committed to smart defense above all else which imo helps to make a championship team.

so alas another year and no cup. i think i only missed three games all year.
