exactly he probably has good cardio but throwing with all your might for a couple of minutes will burn u out quick. Give props to Brock for having a head like a boulder also. I would bet any other heavy out there would have been going to sleep with a couple of the glancing blows never mind the few that connected on the button. On the other hand I have seen many fights stopped for ground and pounds like that. Props to brock he lasted the battle and won the war.

Pissed Brock won but it is what it is. Could have been called in the first imo depending on the ref, Shane burned all his energy and probly was a walking flesh bag of lactic acid in the second. Now to see if he comes back better, and how Cain handles Lesnar.

I thought the ref was going to call it but Brock was still managing to defend himself and showed positive signs whilst being pummeled, he never just lay there taking it.
Shane did look gassed, he should have moved to a better position rather than rain blows down which were only blowing himself out, maybe a choke or stand it back up when Brock's head was pickled.

Props to Brock for the way he handled himself after the fight, no disrespect for Carwin, maybe his illness has changed him as a person - he's definately changed as a fighter, that's for sure.

Carwin will be back, no doubts about that, he dropped a monster and will continue to do so, be interesting to see how Cain deals with Lesnar.

the streams were seriously screwed up this time..
the prelims were pretty decent.. leben was a zombie on his feet.. Still not exactly sure what kept him on his feet.. Instinct, will and heart .. But that was a great fight..

I lost alot of respoect for lesner.. He really needs to bring in a true boxing coach.. If he does..he'll be unstoppable.
Presently, he really sucks on stand up. Sure he has some punching power.. But put up against someone that can box.. he ducks and hides.. He's damn lucky that this was a title fight and in being so, Herb let that pummeling go on a bit longer than most would have or otherwise, that fight would have been stopped.
I believe thats the only reason it was allowed to continue..

also, both these guys need cardio.. They get too winded to early.. Again, a boxing coach would help in this area.

i agree with the boxing coach but i dont think the fight should have been stopped he was defending himself properly and showing signs of being ok thats why u notice he would stop blocking and swing just to show he was ok or use his feet to push away

I take it you had money resting on this fight?

I wouldn't have been upset if they did call it, but Carwin was just winging his shots when on top and there was no accuracy. When they showed the replay the majority of the blows were on his hands and arms.

Props to brock he handled himself well.

I really hope to see Brock-Cain next. After seeing Carwin stuff Brock fairly easily in the first then the smaller Cain could possibly do the same. His stand-up against Nog was steller, much better than anything Carwin has ever showed. Cain doesn't have near the same punching power but his speed and accuracy could make up for it.

Yeah I agree, wouldn't of been upset either i they stopped it. I think we all seen fights called that went down just like that with an opponent not fighting back.

...and Cain vs Brock is the next HW championship fight. Just no date has been set yet. Was going to be UFC 119 (Sept) in Indy but I believe they pushed it back further.
