Concerning Levrone, here's my take. I have no issue with him being being invited without "qualifying" per se. The guy's a legend, and it won't be the first time for a special invite to the O. Happened with Sergio, Big Louie & Mendenhall in the past.
Being as crazy gifted as he is in making gains sooo fast, I still think if he is
serious about placing well, he should NOT compete in the O this year. It's too soon. Yeah he's 255 and semi-cut & benching 500 for 3, but he has yet to post any pics of legs or back yet - 2 of his weaknesses mainly later in his career in post-2000's. Back in the day he used to only train for 4 months for a show which is insane. So I think if he trains continuous through next year, he could do well in the Arnold or the O.
Many talk about how the long layoff hurts him so much, but I think that's the EXACT reason he is able to do this. He's the only guy out there that didn't always stay on gear like the others. His body has had a long break (10 years +) from heavy training & gear. He's fresh, genetically blessed and FAR from being your average 51 y.o dude. He doesn't have that typical pro "old-guy" look with a Palumboismesque look, loose skin and shit. IF he stays with it and can blast his legs & back for a year straight, I say look out. I don't mean as in look out to Phil, but I think he could make a top 3-5 in 2017 considering the lineup of the current times.
Just my take.
