He's gonna get his ass handed to him....cool that he's willing to risk his health and shit for a shot at maybe top 10 but let's get real here

Thanks for posting that DP

The top link showed me how CLASSY this cat is. Wow. What a humble, appreciative, cool dude.

Never knew him well. Now I'm a big fan. Love me some CLASS. Rare commodity in today's world of broken English, Arrogance, Entitlement AND God-syndrome and extreme Ego's.

I'm actually happy I would love to see him back on stage just to see if he can still do it

I only have one problem with this. Usually you have to finish high in the O prior to compete in the one the following year or win a show that same year to qualify you to step on stage and compete. Levrone has done neither of those things and is being allowed to compete due to a "special exception" To me that is like a smack in the face to all the people who have worked their asses off to get up on the biggest platform in bodybuilding. I know he was the man back in the day but that was quite some time ago, aint no free passes lol

With the amount of new blood he'll bring to the sport with his comeback I'm sure they'll look the other way. He's put his dues in.

New blood? He isn't gonna bring in new blood. Its people like Cody montgonery, Justin compton, Jeremy buenida, big Ramy that will bring in the new blood. Seeing old kevin levrone come out of retirement and barely crack top 10 if he is lucky isn't going to inspire anyone. He doesn't have enough time to put on the size and then dice it back down to even stand a chance. Don't get me wrong I feel Kevin is an uncrowned Mr. O but this is just a stunt. It is going bring more money to the O this year, not like it needs it. I would be more for this if his spot wasn't gifted to him, if he went out there and earned it like everyone else.

I can see this if he's being more of a guest poser rather than a full-blown contestant. However if he can pull this off he could at least get to top 10. Gotta admire his tenacity!

It's all about the $$$. Kai isn't doing the O. Kevin will fill the void - even if we all know the hype. I myself like the idea.

I don't think Kevin will go through with it, personally...though I'd love to see him get back up there for the personal challenge and for the fans. I'd watch it just for him, and I think thousands of others would too.

IIRC, and it may have changed, Kai is not doing the O and will be doing other Pro shows around the world instead. I think Jay Cutler mentioned the predictament as well in one of his recent videos.

That said, if Levrone is really going to do this, I wouldn't mind giving him a pass to get up there, and I think if I was another pro, I'd love to stand up there next to him, which may be something for kai to think about.

Wait, Kai isn't doing the O

It's not official by any means, so perhaps I shouldn't have posted implying as such. However, seems to be a consensus over at MD thinking he's not. Jay did an interview saying Kai will never do the O again. Don't know if he was talking trash or if he knew something. Either way, if he doesn't do the O again I would not be surprised. He is the most popular guy out there - fan based wise - and staying in the $$$ sweeping all the Arnolds & sponsors. He will never beat Phil and I think he knows it, and IMO don't think he wants to deal with another major mind-fuck of placing 2nd again - for the umteenth time. Could be wrong. :)

Concerning Levrone, here's my take. I have no issue with him being being invited without "qualifying" per se. The guy's a legend, and it won't be the first time for a special invite to the O. Happened with Sergio, Big Louie & Mendenhall in the past.

Being as crazy gifted as he is in making gains sooo fast, I still think if he is serious about placing well, he should NOT compete in the O this year. It's too soon. Yeah he's 255 and semi-cut & benching 500 for 3, but he has yet to post any pics of legs or back yet - 2 of his weaknesses mainly later in his career in post-2000's. Back in the day he used to only train for 4 months for a show which is insane. So I think if he trains continuous through next year, he could do well in the Arnold or the O.

Many talk about how the long layoff hurts him so much, but I think that's the EXACT reason he is able to do this. He's the only guy out there that didn't always stay on gear like the others. His body has had a long break (10 years +) from heavy training & gear. He's fresh, genetically blessed and FAR from being your average 51 y.o dude. He doesn't have that typical pro "old-guy" look with a Palumboismesque look, loose skin and shit. IF he stays with it and can blast his legs & back for a year straight, I say look out. I don't mean as in look out to Phil, but I think he could make a top 3-5 in 2017 considering the lineup of the current times.

Just my take. :)

^^ I agree with Hank. I still want to see him on stage on 2016. Even if he is not full blown yet. Then 2017 come back and go up a few notches. That will make a serious statement.

That's my boy hank........drops muthafuckin mic 💪👍

Haha yeah if you look at the ones where it is just a pic of him with music playing in the background those are recent.

It will be an inspiration to see him back on the stage, especially after losing much of his size and shape in years past. Means there's hope for the rest of us (50-somethings) as well.

I can't wait for this to happen, it will be fukking awesome...blast from the 90's past:)

I think he will surprise a lot of people as well if he is really serious about all of this. Out of all the old timers from the 90's, he is in the best spot to pull something like this off....all the others have too many injuries or issues to do it.

The more I think about all of this, it seriously amps me up. IMO, it's a win-win situation for him. He'll bring in so much money for himself and everybody else, it will be sick. Plus, if he loses at 51, then it would be expected, but if he pulls off a top finish, then it will be a win situation. He just has to keep his health in line, which I think he will be fine seeing that he is monitored by a MD.

We are still many months away and anything can change...cross fingers:D
