Hahaha ... no kidding! He changed the closure message to include "P.S. All Supporting members membership will transfer over to the new Owners of MuscleMX. " I highly doubt that that disclaimer will hold up in court.
 
I'm kind of upset about not getting some of the posts from my PMs in regards to helping people out with their nutrition/diet/training.


Also, just so everyone knows, I'm going to try and buy the site. Not for 30k, but I'm going to try.

Let us know Seth..........I wish I had money to help.........but if I get a job here within the next couple weeks I'll try to help however I can! Has anybody talked to Keith since all this?? I know he put alot of money into that site as well!
 
Keith is aware that I'm interested, and he also put alot of his own money in...

Karen:not kidding. one sponsor was paying enough to cover all hosting costs (they were paying a lot more than the others). The rest was all going to increasing traffic and page rank... which didn't really matter to most of the people on the site. I see now that the plan was probably always to build a great site, then sell it once it got popular. If you are reading our posts here Ant: I hope you enjoy your money, and I hope it was worth losing the respect of everyone that counted on you.

Well I know that I was directed a certain sponsor to the site, and I know that they were interested in putting quite a bit in........I'm not sure if that was the sponsor you're referring to Aaron. :) But I'm sure they were putting alot in.
 
shit - When you get your credit card statement, dispute the charges. Say you paid for a full years membership and only got 2 months tops!
 
For the record, I didn't depend on Ant. I depended on the people that I've grown to love, the staff and the members.

This is what happens when you are 1)breaking the law 2)treating everyone like 2nd class citizens 3)LYING 4)believe you are the end all be all 5)think you can do it alone.

What made MuscleMX great was our MEMBERS and staff. It wasn't Antonio (I sure hope you're reading this) because he made no effort to get to know all the people that made that site. He treated many of us, on staff, like we were absolute idiots and showed us nothing but disrespect.

Integrity, honor, respect, LOYALTY, and honesty cannot be bought. Antonio sadly underestimated his staff when he arbitrarily broke the law and made decisions about the site without even consulting the people he'd placed in positions of authority.

I don't know enough about the technical end of things to know what server costs were or anything like that. However, I believe Ray when he says something wasn't right. If ANYONE knows the technical end of things, it's Ray. You don't run a highly successful IT department and not know your shit. Antonio would have been wise to take advice from Ray when he offered.

Seth, I do hope that something works out. But, if not, we'll all just continue to invade this place until these guys get sick of us. LOL!!!

That sonofa...you know what, never mind. Not gonna go there.

So does this mean the recurring subscriptions stop or what? I want to pull my subscription, that is unless anyone here is planning on buying the site.

I seriously wish I had the money to help out in purchasing the site. If you are able tp purchase it, I'll do anything I can to help!
 
This really upsets me because i emailed Ant telling him about how it was great working with him and i thanked him for giving me the chance of being a staff member ( this was before i saw it was up for sale) or at least i didn't see it at the moment. I go to school and come back to see its for sale no explonation no nothing i feel it wasn't taking care of properly fine you wanted to close the site down but let your staff and memebers know before hand blah anyways im just rambaling long story short i just feel betrayed.

On another note Seth i will also help out. I don't have much but i sure will help out with some moneys let me know
 
yah, it's a shame. I am looking forward to what this place has to offer now though!
 
Hey guys, I know its hard, but lets try to forget the past and make progress here, our new home. Badmouthing Antonio (whether he deserves it or not) accomplishes nothing and reflects poorly on us as members. I believe we all have the maturity to be bigger people and put all this behind us. My .02 anyways :D
 
MMX was a great site. I think Antonio lost sight of the fact that the only thing he was to the site was a coder. He didnt make it what it was. The staff and members are what made that site great.All he did was provide coding. Who knows if it got to him or if he just snapped one day. Either way, he lost any respect I had for him over the past few months and as sad as I am to see the site close, good riddance to antonio.

Agreed.
I for one am not looking at this as a "temporary stop over" - I've been on this site for a few years anyway... and I don't plan on leaving it. I'm hoping everyone else will see the greatness that this place has to offer and stay as well.
 
As far as Im concerned, MC is now "home". I don't care about a web address, all I care about is that I have my friends and "family" with me. Most everyone is here now, that's all that matters.

I'm just glad Aaron let us know about this place and that they were willing to take us in. :)

You know what...you're very right. The site didn't make MMX, the people did. Now, all the people are here, and we're going to be able to meet some new people as well. Why spend the money ?? I made him an offer today, but in talking to a few people, if he accepts it I'll rescind. This site was nice enough to take us in and seems like a great environment, I'm here for the duration.
