What?s the best exercise to develop the lower outer chest, to give it the rounded out look underneath?
Dips, decline press, cable?
Need some input. Having a hard time developing that part of my chest

I always liked dips over decline press for lower pecs. However I love me some decline flyes for that area too. Dips gotta be done correctly to target more pec and less tricep - gotta lean forward and try to keep elbows out more, and not so much back.

What these guys said for some heavy work, followed by some hi rep cable work with a good two second hold and squeeze with each contraction. Work until it plain phucking hurts.

Agree with the above with dips and decline DBs.

Don’t do decline BB- the worst excercise IMO with no range of motion or stretch of the actual muscle.

Mine were actually over developed compared to my upper inner pecs from doing too many decline hammer strength presses. If you have one at your gym. Start with those after warmup on pec deck. They have a good stretch at the bottom and don’t forget to squeeze at the top. Wide dips too. Yep yep.

I have done the same with dips...I have cheated to place my feet out away from my body to create an angle..I used a little stand to keep my feet on crossed like on a stand or something, worked pretty good..same concept...more reps.

Cables and keep your arms straight.
It’s natural tendency to bend your elbows but you lose a lot of the stretch in your lower pecs when you don’t keep your arms fully extended.
It’s harder to do but results are better, too.
Just be careful not to hyperextend your elbows with too much weight or jerky pulls on the cables.
It’s very common for guys to lose definition in their lower pecs as they get older. I’ve been doing tricep dips and cables for my chest for the past twenty years and at age 52 my pecs are still solid top to bottom.
Genetics has a lot to do with it too. I’m fortunate have zero adipose tissue in my pecs and for a lot of guys that’s not the case and can be difficult to overcome.
