Well I was pretty pissed about how my DL went, but I tried to make up for it on the rack squats. I believe 805 is 105lbs more than I have ever had on my back so i'm pretty pleased with that.
 
Next week is a deload week, but i'm going to do some kettlebell swings. When I was doing those I was sitting down and driving a lot better with my legs in the DL. Hope it helps

just wanted to add that this week was a deload week. Took monday off. Did kettlebells on wednesday. Friday I did light raw working up to 315 then did some light 4board close grip and banded shoulder exercises.

Back felt really strong today. Well until I decided to work my arch after the workout and went to arch over my 6" PVC pipe and hurt something. It has a week and a half to heal up so I should be alright.

My bw is 246 :shock: haha that's a 16lb weight jump in one week. Damn now I have to lose some weight again.

Well this was in my loose shirt that takes about 15seconds to get on, but I still felt like I could hit higher than 525 in it, but boy was I wrong. It really only gave me support a few inches off my chest then it was all me. Maybe I should have washed it to try and get it to tighten up, but to late for that now. I didn't get in my tight shirt (44F6) b/c I need it to be tight for my meet next week, and it is already starting to loosen up quite a bit. Will still open with 550 and break the WR. This shitty workout is not going to hold me back.

Eventhough I will prolly be freaking all week long haha

RH (this was rigged with the exercise ball on the flat bench) did a ton of reps to try and learn how to do it. Went up to 30lbs

After the press there were a ton of runners all up around the collar of the shirt and of course on the sides of the chest plate. This is Jordan's shirt and i'm just going to send it back and get him a 44 instead

Pretty shitty shirt work. The shoulders were way to small in that thing and I could never really get the groove right. I think I have a 46/42 that came in at my house will try that out next week. But by the looks of things I might have to go back to the ole trust 44.
 
Ok i've had time to think about my workout now. I think i'm going to hold onto the 42until after the meet as a just in case, aslong as Jordan doesn't have any problems with that. I have to remember this is the first time this shirt has really been used and they are always tough breaking in. It actually took me more weight to touch in my 44F6, but it was also less painful :lol:

I have taken a better look at the shirt and it doesn't look all that bad. I remember Smut had a shirt that looked like a screen door and it didn't blow. I'm still going to get into my custom next week, but just want to keep this 42 around as a backup. As you never know what is going to happen. I put a shit load of work into that shirt today to break it in and it would feel like a waste if I sent it back now.
 
ok i'm in good spirits again. My custom 46/42chest just came in. The sleeves have the same angle on them that my 44does. My old 46 and the 42 I just tried didn't look like this. Also this shirt has been lengthened like 3inches so it should be a lot easier to get pulled down.

I also got a pair of Titan single ply Dual Quat Briefs that i'm going to try for DL. Hopefully this will help get me over 550DL in Collinsville.

Can't wait to try the new gear out next week.


I'm not going to kill myself getting the new shirt broke in the first week. If it takes two workouts that's fine, but this shirt looks pretty sweet.

Rotators

Haven't done incline forever. Finally at the end I started to get the groove back and remembering where to touch. It's funny b/c I was wanting to drift the weight back. All weights flew up fast and easy, was in need of a deload feel beat up.

I'm having some pain in my right wrist,forearm, and elbow. Hope this heals up b/c it feels really bad and I could barely grip the bar today. Might have to take Wednesday off from pulling b/c it's my underhand and that just makes it worse. If it still hurts on friday I will take off Friday too and just to shirted work with the Sunday crew.

New shirt has some good spring to it. Hard to tell though since I didn't get any weight to touch. Didn't feel like going over 500 b/c i'm going to hit a workout at the Lockup next week and I wanted to be rested. Will not DL or squat next week just rest up until Thursday. Should be able to touch 495 next week in that shirt as it start to really break in on the last set. Will just look at hitting low to mid 5's for some singles next week.

Hey matt, sorry to hijack your thread but u're a WR holder and around my age so i figured youre the guy to go to for shirted benching

a) whats a good "starter" bench shirt

and b)whats your raw bench like now? Are yous till able to maintain strength raw benchin?

depends on your style of bench, but a single ply Titan shirt would be great. Either a Fury or F6, but like I said it all depends on your training style. If you got me your chest and arm measurment I could tell you what size. If you had a vid of you benching I could help even more.

b. NO haha I prolly would have been able to, but my elbows got messed up and everytime it was time to train raw I instead had to take off to let my elbows heal up. It is hard to keep your raw bench up b/c when you are in a shirt it's a completely different story. If you press out of the hole like you do in a raw press the bar is going to come back flying over you face, fast.

I believe with a month or so of raw training i'd be right back up there, and that's fine with me b/c if you ever want to compete it's all about the shirted press.

That's about it. My lower back hurts today if it feels good i'll pull on wednesday if not I won't. Will hit some lockout work on Friday. Take a light bench workout next monday. Hit dead opener on Wednesday. Then hit bench opener on either Friday or Saturday.
