I grew up in the Arnold, Franco, Zane etc. era and think that the best then look better than the best today. The golden age guys looked awesome but in a realistic sort of way.

Tiny waist. Vacuum pose. They reminded me of Renaissance sculptures back in the classic era only a little bigger yet still proportional and aesthetic. today they seem like cartoon characters or caricatures surreal completely unnatural, fake, all drugs, toxic, dysfunctional.

Old school Arnold look. They looked reasonable and healthy. I think of lifting as part of the way to achieve a better version of myself. The way Ronnie coleman, Phil, Jay all those guys look like they not progressing into a better person but rather destroying themselves gonig over board with peds.

I like the old school look for sure but love the mass these guys are able to get.

I grew up with the old school guys but I am a mass monster and love to see how far a man can push the envelope to see how big he can get while still being ripped.

Arnold

I like the Arnold era, but the guys know day are huge and when competing in anything you want to be the biggest and the best. So that is a very good but tricky question

I grew up with the old shcool era, but I gotta go with the more recent era with a stipulation - only the guys without the GH gut qualify. Dillet, Levrone, Flex, Dorian, Coleman before he got the pregnant look, Heath, Wolf. The guys I admired most back in the old day were Arnie, Sergio, Robby, Lou, Mentzer. I guess I never could relate to the smaller guys like Zane, although I admire their work ethic and achievments. Probably bcoz I have always been a bigger guy, so I like the monsters - with no crazy gut.

Finally another mass freak! DPH I have a distended gut, do you still love me?

I can see that. If you're a bigger guy then you're going to appreciate the bigger guys. Before I touched anything I was 180 in shape. After being off for years I was 195 in shape. That is not 300 lbs. I think Dorian is still 265 when he looks pretty much off. Big thick Brit dude. Levrone shrinks back to 210 when he was off everything for years.

I grew up in the old school era and love the look of them then nowadays, however now we have mutants and the competition is a lot more entertaining.

Yeah easier to relate to guys with similar structures I guess. That's why you see alot of short guys idolize Franco or Priest haha. Dorian looks to be around 225-230. I doubt he has seen 265 since his competing days, as he is usually pretty lean sporting visible abs. As for Kevin, I know on his "levrone report" a few years back, he was actually down to 190 most of the time when he was rockin' with his band.

I like the 90's era..., so whatever that falls in, probably in-between.

I'd love to have a 90's and 2000's look in the gym, and around certain crowds, but then transform down to the Golden Era guys shape for sports, hiking, and just general healthier living.

I like Sergio Oliva. He was way ahead of his time though. Would have been interesting to see what he could have been with a little hgh and insulin......

You can call bullshit. I saw Dorian weigh in in one of his videos and he was over 260. I'll see if I can dig it up.

I have to say I like the old school too. Its just a more natural and functional look. That's not to say that I wouldn't like to be as big as Ronnie or Jay...

Hey I'm just talkin' about what he has _usually_ looked like since retiring. Yeah there may have been times he got up to 265 or so, but check out his vids training people, doing interviews, etc over the last 10 years and it's rather clear he isn't 265. In a couple of those interviews he actually said he was 230.

Now THAT'S a scary thought - mass monster of his time with THEE perfect structure to boot.

Remember how thick his wheels are.
