Saturday night we were having a party @ my brothers-in-law and 2 plates later(thank god I was done eating :D) I hear my kid just screaming his head off while being caried by my wifes brother. At first I thought it was just I bruse, but couple people said they heard a pop!
Kid was jumping on trampoline and next thing u know...pop! So we go to the ER and these people don't even put it back in place,no cast...what a joke. They wrap it up in some temp. shit till Monday. It's fn' Saturday! I guess orthopedist like to have weekends off???
Hopefuly today they'll take him in...what a f joke?!

How safe are these trampolines and what a great healthcare system we have here!

(just wanted to vent :devil1: )

Oh no, the poor little thing. Did he have it x-rayed?? I assume he must have? They know for sure that it's broken? I am a nurse, and I tell you, that if you want something done sometimes, you got to demand it.

Trampolines are accidents waiting to happen IMO.

I hope he makes out ok :)

Whole thing just makes me sick. She didn't know it's that bad I guess. This place can just to put cast on with no pain meds. He'll need pain meds cause they have to put it back in place. It's just crazy that doc couldn't just do it all in one place.Had to drag pour kid out of the bed,so she can give me new appt. in different place!

Since you have to wait, check around and get recommendations on a really good orthopedic surgeon...one that specializes in leg work, not spine.

Once he is on the mend, give him around 2 gms calcium daily, (citrate or lactate) and 1-2 gms magnesium, (preferably NOT mag OXIDE). Combine with vit C and E and B complex and a teaspoon of Cod Liver Oil daily, and bone will heal both faster and stronger (more bone density).

I found this out the hard way. I took 5 gms of Calcium Lactate, but I was an adult. BTW...calcium if assimilated properly is a very effective pain killer in itself.

Thx.Sounds like a good plan. This kid won't even take his multi though :nonono2: .No wonder it broke so easy.

Surgery went great and he should be up and running at no time.I was in the hoptital from 715am-200pm today, but it's all over with. Thx for support everyone.

LM,

i got my head slammed into a wall on may 9th, and i had to sit in the waiting room with blood pouring out my head for 5.5 hours while they took people with the flu before me. when they finally took me, they looked at it and told me it was serious, because it just missed the fascia of the skull. now i can wrinkle my forehead, but that part doesnt move anymore...lol
