So as some of you know I've been teaching a MMA class at a local University.
It was the nations first for credit cage fighting class. So this guy who took my class two years ago has kept training and just got his fighter's license this week. His first fight is June 1st. We are all so stoked. I think this guy is gonna fuck someone up!

Also my best training partner is going to another grappling tourney on June 16th. We're putting together a 20 man road trip to support him. Most of us are also in the tourny but my bro is the only one with a real "shot" to win.

So dude scored a knock down early in the first round vs a guy who had 40 amature boxing matches. The guy fell forward and grabbed my dudes foot and scored a take down while he was still dazed. My guy is not very good on the ground and got caught in an arm bar and refused to tap out. So his arm broke and the ref stoped the fight. Really sucks...:(

Sorry to hear that bro

yea we worked with him over and over to stay on his feet or get to his feet if it went to the ground, but it was his first MMA fight so you kinda expect most training to go out the window when the bell rings. He'll be fine in the long run but we have lost a strong training partner for at least 6 weeks.

On a happier note: My other bro took first in Advanced Super Heavy Weight at a the BJJ tourny. Other guys on the team did not fare so well. I did not roll due to a pinched periformous nerve.
