I like to eat dinner with the family, so its generally whatever they cook. Always has loads of protein, just not always the best combination of stuff. Regardless, I'd like dinner to stay with that, I think I can compensate for anything it lacks or adds that is "bad."

What can I eat to replace what I'm currently eating. My diet isn't great, never really has been. I don't have a target calorie intake, I don't aim for specific protein amounts.. I try generally to eat protein in every meal, but how much hasn't been a focus. This needs to change.

I don't necessarily mind bland meals, I can stuff it down fast so that wouldn't be an issue. I don't eat takeout more than once a week, and if I do its just a double cheese burger, no fries no shake. Don't like candy, ice cream, snacks, etc..

I'd really like something I can pre-prepare and warm up throughout the day in Tupperware. I keep leaning towards rice and chicken, but don't know what kind of chicken would be best, and most convenient.

Basically looking to nail this diet out hardcore and focus on my growth and get bodyfat where it needs to be. Mostly a size-interested guy, I like the look of near-abs, the added size would probably mean more to me than the abs.

Probably taking 150-200g (EDIT, Honestly, its probably not this high. Who am I kidding.) of protein in at the very most. Lacking a lot. Will be supplementing daily with 40-50g of protein once I remember to get an order put in, in a few days. Just came back from 3-4 months off, grandfather got sick and is in a senior care center now, more stabilized finally. Getting back to it, 5'9 210lbs and need to get shit back to where I was and FAR surpass it.

Natty right now. Gonna see what I can do with pure diet and intense focus for at least a few months. Never done diet like this.

Let me know your suggestions. Thanks everyone, its a lot to ask of you all.

what body type are you? whats your training split look like? cardio? i got a few tasty recipes...all can be made in quantity and frozen and reheated....i basically live out of tupperware!

Not sure what to classify myself as, A meso that likes to eat? I've got thick joints and if I keep my diet in check I lose fat quite fast without much effort. That seems to always be my lagging problem though, diet. I've been told previously people think I'm endo because I have more fat than a meso would. I disagree, simply because I pack food in at inhuman quantities. When I do cut it back it melts off. WHEN I do.. Mass adds quick when I get diet down too, so I dont know. - I guess thats sort of undetermined?? I know that I respond to AAS well, lol.

Training split is a slightly modified Madcow 5x5. Love lifting heavy, and I follow the thought process that heavy ass weights = growth. I'm also planning on adding extreme stretching again, I loved that when I did DC back when.

Cardio, is non existent. I keep telling myself to start going for a run in the mornings, but I simply don't do it. I've thought about buying a prowler sled instead, I could motivate myself to push more weight, rather than just run.

You know what my life saver is? A nice little shake that I drink about two or three times a day between solid meals to keep all my macros up with good stuff. It can be prepared in about 2 min, drank in one min, and bottled and put in a cooler and carted along for the day. It tastes like shit. Camel shit to be exact.

1 cup oats ground in coffee grinder.
60g whey
1 cup liquid egg whites
2 TBLSP olive oil
Fill the rest up with whole milk, maybe a cup.

101g protein, 66g carbs, 32g fat = roughly 956 clean calories.

You will fart.

haahaahaahaahaa! you sound like me! im also doing the 5x5 over the winter...love the heavy weights! tomorrow i will get around to scanning or typing something out for you and post it or email it to you...its a good base that can be added on to or modified very easily. food tastes great and easy to sub one protein for another etc.

ive had this same shake a few times...its not the taste that gets me...its that weird consistency the oats give it that has me gagging near the end of it

I have no doubts this would be awesome for my diet - I simply don't know if I could drink it. Sounds like shit. :D

Sweet, thanks bro.

Just out of curiosity, in what way specifically are we alike, the eating? How did you manage it?

a friend of mine who recently passed used to drink a tuna shake...the smell alone made me want to throw up!

eat like horse, cardio is for suckas attitude, eating dinner with fam, current routine and also training for size and pretty happy with lazy abs outline...dont really care or not if they pop out 24/7. it might take a small amount of time to get all the food in but just eat smaller portions and slowly increase. i always cook 2 of the meals and freeze enough for whole week and then the rest i can usually cook enough for 3 days worth.

Also thanks for being willing to put in the time to get me out some meals.

If you want to add food, take 2 snacks like cottage cheese or cheddar on toast for example. You could also add peanut butter (my weakness ...).

Khem, this thread seems to have gotten off track a bit.

From what I gather, you're looking to gain mass, a lose body fat at the same time correct?

This is pretty tough to do naturally even for the most ambitious dieter. For me, what works best is to cut down to the body fat % that I'm happy with, then I bulk. This way you're starting off at a low bf% and any fat gains can be moderated easier.

Regardless of what you decide to do, keep close tabs on ALL of your macros not just protein. Carbs play a pivotal role in fat loss and muscle gain.

I am optimistic that the DRASTIC change in diet to a level that I've never been will give me huge growth and if I monitor calories properly, I could lean in the process.

Will it work? Probably not to the extent I'm hoping. I'm basically just making excuses for the fact that I feel small and want to use muscle memory to my advantage before I Worry about the body fat. If I lose body fat in this process, awesome.. If not, I can cut in a while.

But it is at least 2x+ the protein I've EVER taken in, and the calories will be meticulously counted.(Later day meals will be adjusted based on dinner. Bulk of protein taken at waking, and around workout.) Hoping this 'theory' holds merit.

Bad logic?
:startrek:

It's all about counting cals. Simple math bro.
Lifts has a great formula for this and I'm sure he'll jump in and post it.

You're logic is backwards though, you want most of your carbs in the am and after workout. Protein and fats the rest. Carbs and sugar are the fat kids...

Been eating chicken & rice since I posted this thread, each meal is about 600 calories total, and around 55grams of protein average.

I feel fucking swole. I mean that my muscles feel very full. I feel like I'm ON but I'm obviously off. I'm not sure why specifically this is the case, but I definitely notice a huge difference in the way I feel.

For a quick meal at work, I mix 2cups of cooked brown rice with a can of albacore tuna and some of my favorite salsa in a ziploc bowl and carry them in my cooler. There easy and if you can't find a microwave it isn't that bad cold.

If you can't spend a minute to prepare this and suppress a gag reflex for 4 seconds then maybe you should forget the gym and eat spaghetti and sausage.
