in your post workout shake at 1pm drop the applesauce. fructose replinishs liver gylcogen stores.. the malo/dex is all you need. in the meal following this drop the flax then, at this time you need to keep fat intake low.. its slows absorption of nutrients too much.. and the goal is to feed those muscles for growth. add it in your last meal of the day. you need a source of EFAs prior to bed.

also why the sweet potato with post workout shake after your second workout? this is going to slow absorption too much. stick to simple sugars and whey protein.

The applesauce is in their just to have some fruit in the diet. I know fructose isn't the ideal sugar, but an apple is NOT all fructose. Besides, there is only 10g of sugar in the amount of applesauce I will eat.

I've never heard of flax oil slowing down the absorption of nutrients? Do you have any articles concerning this matter? Also, why EFA's before bed? I was under the assumption that you only need protein (longer lasting if possible) before bed?

flax is a fat, fat slows the absorption of nutrients. this being the reason to make sure you get some EFA's before bed, along with a slower disesting protein as you are.. the cottage cheese(good choice btw). this way the release of nutrients will last longer as you sleep.

I like the looks of your diet except the 8 p.m. carbo feeding the reason being that cortisol levels are very high at this time and cortisol interferes with insulin. Therefore carbos at this time are more likly to be stored as fat than used to replenish muscle glycogen. I would consume the majority of my carbs earlier in the day.

Except 8 oclock is directly after my workout.

Buffalo Burgers are FANTASTIC! The taste a little stronger than your regular sirloin burger, but they have so much less fat. They are also a little more juicy as well. I get mine from Trader Joes.

How much more expensive than ground beef?

Not much... I think it's a 1/3 lb patty for $1. I guess I kind of think that I'm paying for protein instead of protein and fat :)

Do you have Trader Joes where you live? That's where I get mine. Some supermarkets will have them, just gotta look a little hard than to find sirloin.

No trader joes but there is a butcher near me. I will go look this week.
