I have been lifting seriously for about 2 years now. I am about 6'3 245, about 22% body fat (in other words im big, muscular, and kinda chunky). I want to do my first show by the beggining of next year. I know i shouldnt be contest dieting right now, but i really wanna take the next 8 months to lose some of my excess body fat while maintaining muscle. I have had people at my gym tell me to not lose much more weight during the offseason cuz for my size, 245 is where i wanna be, maybe i could even gain weight, but im still kinda fat. Basically i wanna know what you vets would recommend as far as offseason diet, i really need to LEAN up with out losing too much weight, and i am still lifting hard and heavy, so i am not cutting too many cals yet. any diet and cardio advice for me would be much appreciated.

oh and i am doing at least 30-45 mins of cardio about 3-4 times a week as of right now. if i need more or less, let me know.

Me and you are just alike accept in 6' 4" bout 15% Bf, this old body builder gave me a diet that i went from 265 to 240 on in 3 months and lost very little strength if you want it let me know

You need not worry about weight, unless you can get well under 10% bf, no sense walking on stage. I think that your cardio is fine but I would start dieting now by lowering carbs and fats. Lift heavy to maintain muscle mass.

yah, id love to take a look at that diet...cant hurt

and i have been trying to cut back on carbs and fats, keeping fats about 15% of my cals, and carbs about 25%, with the rest protein, and im trying to keep it around 2500 cals per day... i have def noticed im getting a little more hard, and seeing more definition. i guess the rest is patience and discipline.

Sounds like you did your home work and are doing everything exactly right imo.

I appreciate the feedback on that scots...
yah i know it is kinda low...few factors tho.
1. money
2. availability (its all i could get)
3. It's only my 2nd cycle
4. My first cycle was the same, and i got good steady gains and maintained almost all of it. It worked well for me, and it looked almost natural. I didn't blow up and gain massive muscle quickly and then lose it just as quickly.

after i am done with this cycle and PCT and everything, i think i will have a few more options for my next one tho. I wanna know about how long after PCT is done from this one can i start my next one, and once i do, any suggestions for my 3rd cycle? Im looking to throw something else in with the test, i have heard great things about tren. some suggestions for good stacks would be appreciated.

a good rule is time on=time off. Since you want to lean out tren and maybe some eq along with test would be good options.

Maybe try something like
250-500 test e (twice a week shots)
300-400 tren a (eod shots)
maybe a lowish dose of eq which you will have to ask someone else about cause im not sure what a beginner dose of eq is

Nothing wrong with test e 250mg/week.
Doesn't take much to get that extra oompf.
