Off to the knife for my 7th surgery for skin cancer, again on my face. Hopefully it won't be too disfiguring. The last one in January left a scar on my upper lip like I was in a bar fight. At least people think twice before looking me in the eye. It's kind-of funny in a way. Creates an appropriate distance to be left alone.

What type do you have? Hope all goes well and they get it all out.

Skin cancer. Had six cut-outs so far, each one about the size of a cracker except the one on my upper lip. That one was basal cell carcinoma and they cut about 1/2 inch deep, a 1/2 inch wide, and an inch long. Nice scar! This one was under my lower lip but he wouldn't cut today because my BP was too high, 159/97. Guess I'll have to go back on the BP medicine I was taking; Azor 5/20. Yeah, been a rough two years with the cancer and divorce and everything, but I'm getting stronger for the most of it (on the inside), so it's easier to handle now than 2 years ago. On top of everything else I quit my teaching job last October. Was working with an idiot I couldn't stand being around. The good news is I have three job interviews on Monday, and if that doesn't work out, I have an exit interview for retirement on Thursday. Next week should be promising/interesting to say the least.

it looks like a saber wound and surprisingly I'm liking it more all the time

Good that the doc is catching this early before things become more serious. Skin cancer, one of the many perks of getting old.
Glad you're doing well.

Chicks dig scars

Haha they sure do...bet he could say his lip scar he got slashed in a bar fight lol.

On a serious note hope it all goes well for you, mrhtbd...cancer can be beaten so look on the positive side. My mom beat breast cancer and stomach cancer and has been cancer free for past 15 years so that's a resounding success in her case, so that can bode well for you too.

It definitely looks like a bar fight gash. Good to hear about your mother. A positive note. Thanks
