My roomate and I don't talk. Seriously it's been atleast 2+months since a word has been spoken to each other. Anyway here's the deal
When we turn are a/c or heat on are electric bill doubles. Well it's even worse when you turn it down low. So I like to keep the house around 73-75degrees. I lean towards 75 b/c are house is actually very cool feeling.
Well my roomate will turn the air down to 68 and below and have all the fans running in the house even when he is not here. It has been a constant cat and mouse game lately with me turning it up and him turning it down. Just the other night he had it down to 67 so I turned it back up at 2:30am. Well when I came down at 8am it was back down. So I figured i'd just mess with the temp guage so he thinks it's colder than it actually is, does that stop him, hell no. I got home and it was 65-66degrees.
I finally got fed up with the thought about having to pay over dbl what I usually pay so I wrote a note and stuck it on the thermostat for him to read. I said that I don't like having the house freezing cold and if he wants it that way he will have to pay extra. I'm only meaning 10dollars or so and that would be pretty generous for having the a/c running all day.
Anyway when I get back home he has wadded up the note thrown it on my desk turned the a/c up to 90 and decided to drive back to are hometown 1.5hrs a way instead of staying here after work.
Another thing is I take care of turning in all the bills, pay for all the stamps, and I have the smaller room by half the size yet still pay the same rent(literally it is half the size). I don't see why this should cause a problem. I guess i'm going to have to end are not talking streak and just let him know what i'm thinking. I just need to make sure I don't show him what i'm thinking
O and on top of that I have to keep all my bathroom items in my room other wise he will use them and not replace them. I have a small ass room yet have to waste space filling it up with junk like toilet paper and Q-tips.
Ok so what are your thoughts on this?? Was I unreasonable with my thoughts on the a/c??
I mean is it my fault he weighs 300lbs and has a C cup? I don't think so. I mean I can't help the fact that he gets out of breath just sitting at his cpu.
OK enough rambling
