your the teacher, you gotta be the bigger person. theres alot of people out there who are total pieces of shit, some havent even hit 18 yet, but as a teacher, in the true sense of the word you have to show him, those tactics dont and wont work in the real world. when I was in H.S I had this one math teacher, he was a young guy, new to the school, pretty built and for some reason we bumped heads. he took me aside after class one day and told me that if I needed help or showed I was trying, he would understand, but if I dont try or get ignorant than he can guarantee I'm gonna be doing this whole course over again. needless to say I was in with the wrong people, smoking alot of weed and with a big chip on my shoulder for anybody, I was a punk at that age so I said fuck that class, and I failed that course, hell maybe it made it easier on him, not having me around too much. later I dropped out and looking back I dont know what bothers me more, the fact he beat me, he won and I lost that little war, or the fact he was fair and actually gave me a chance and I fucked that all up on my own...I say do what you came to do, Teach those that are ready to learn, show him how a real man holds himself, and explain the only two real choices he has and after that your done. maybe someday he'll look back, maybe he'll be in jail biting pillows but either way do your thing. and ya cover your ass, tell all this shit to the principal. nothing worse than a teacher, volunteer getting fucked over these days when all they had was good intentions.
