Peed on a Stick

Because I was curious I got some of the Ketostix from Walgreens today to see what is going on with my low carb diet. I had at least 30-40g of carbs today combined before and after workout. I got a few here and there too. I whizzed on the stick and it turned slightly pink to indicate slight ketones. I did it again 4 hours later and the same with no carbs eaten after the first time.

I have been drinking a lot of water so it is probably diluting it some. I will check in the morning when it is concentrated.

Anyone have any experience with these sticks during a keto diet?
 
I wouldn't worry about the results to much. Try them first thing in the morning.
 
i have used them extensively through several low carb eating periods in my life/training..

I check in the am and pm during the week (at work mid day) and throughout the day on weekend.

im normally at my highest readings late afternoon, no carbs yet that day and on days I trained.

I also found that 90% of the time i was showing trace to low levels and always had great results with the weight loss..

I have tested 4 times and I have always been at a trace except first thing this morning I was at a low level. This makes since after sleeping and no eating.
 
I have been low to no carb now since I have been on the edge of Type II for about 5 years now. I have never been able to piss more than a trace of ketones at any one time using the Keto sticks, but "fat" loss has always been noticeable.

I'm showing trace every morning right now..and higher afternoons when i train...so typical for me..

im at that point in my keto diets where i stop seeing the scale drop daily and I plateau for a few days then the scale moves..then i plateau again... all the while my pee stick says trace...even on days where I train and have 0 carbs...

forgot about these slow days...
